Fantastic, I'm sure that fact will come in handy in a pub quiz one day but it has nothing to do with climate change. Thanks for trying though and bringing some mature, well thought out points.

The Latin expression alter ego literally means "another self." In common parlance, it refers to either a completely trustworthy person authorized to act on another's behalf, or a second personality or "double" belonging to the same person but displaying different traits.

I would have expected better from a Prof though I note edit has been used...

I was merely pointing out that not everyone is as concerned as you about climate change, I doubt anything you could offer is likely to change the minds of anyone who thinks things are not changing

The fact about Loch Ness is in context with your need the poke a stick in the wasps nest about climate change

I didn't edit. I just didn't correct the auto-correct first time.

I do like your belief that those who educate never make mistakes though. To err is human. Teachers are as error prone as everybody else and any teacher who thinks otherwise would be foolish in the extreme. First lesson for any student is that you learn more from your mistakes than from your intial lesson.

Anybody that still pretends that climate change isn't a thing is certifiably insane.

The evidence is overwhelming from scientists of all types across the planet for decades now. Every reading says the same thing. Only complete fuckwits deny it.

So many people are ignoring the scientists because it doesn't fit their agenda. That's the extreme right and their fanboys for a start.
 
We definetely have climate change, we need a radical solution .For one we need to build more reservoirs to harness all the rain that gets wasted in the winter. We also need to sort the robbing cheating water companies out,make them fix the leaks in the pipe system that causes the loss of about 20 per cent of our drinking water, and stop paying shareholders profits until they do.

Plenty of scientists say differently depends who you want to believe. David Bellamy got cancelled for saying it was a con.

You have totally misunderstood Bellamy.

He was a brilliant botanist and environmentalist. He turned against the climate change movement for many complex reasons to do with his own views on what environmentalism was/was not about.

He was not an expert on the climate and the very basic errors he made misunderstanding the science prove this. Much of his later life conspiracy bollocks is now pretty embarrassing.

A real shame because he was a wonderful communicator about nature.
