It is one of the interesting side-shows of this whole pantomine...having FIFA and UEFA indignant about the lack of integrity...

I agree - but alas when both organizations have shown so many times that they believe themselves above the very game itself...Sepp Blatter or Michel Platini anyone...it is a bit hard not to laugh at their po-faced response.
 
And sadly...whilst I assume the "bung" comment was a throw-away line...there is a sad underlying ring of truth about it. They have not been offered a slice of the cake and they are furious.

The Super League is just a get out of debt plan anyway. JP Morgan fund the debt and in return, the Super League provides a profitable product to enable the repayments to the financers. So they have to bypass any regulators (UEFA/FIFA), to make this farce happen.

It is also a Brexit for football.
 
This is very much a case of, to paraphrase, 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'

The powerful minority in all walks of life depend on the whataboutery squabbling of the weaker majority
