But is it all going to be brushed under the carpet? These greedy sods took part in the discussions, formulated the plans, went public then saw the anger and the opposition and bailed out on it.
It's like the Great Train Robbers planning the raid, stopping the train, coshing the driver, nicking the cash, running to the farmhouse.. then reading the papers, deciding it wasn't worht the hassle and all going home..no harm done.

They need points deductions and/or bans from European competition. All watertight so Man City can't get the competition rules overturned like they did last season. If these twats think they can drop this bomb and then scuttle back when it misfires they have another thing coming.

I would bar them from next year's PL, and from next year's European competitions. Just a one year ban will do, we play a 14 team league. The players needs some recovery time after the season they have just had. Premier League clubs could play proper first teams in both cups. Excellent.

But I fear UEFA and the Premier League will bottle it.
 
I’d give all 6 teams. 3 point deduction for bringing the game into disrepute.

They all need some kind of sanction otherwise something similar will be done again in a few years.

Remember how they conned UEFA re FFP last season.
 
even with -3 points, man city would still win the league and also potentially see some of their rivals drop out of next years CL. they'd be happy with that.

can't see the others accepting it quietly though...

Which leaves Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan & Juventus

They could play each other 12 times a season. Which is nice.

30 now. Gives us a crack at another League title. Who cares if it has an asterix. Wasn't us trying to cancel football.
