Man City cheating

It all depends on who sits in judgement wether they have the balls to fight the moneymen over this ......because power holds sway and the owners have plenty of that ....have the Premier League??
Its heaven for the lawyers, but can the whole rotten episode come to a meaningful end thats the crux of the matter

It’s all basically turning football on its head and totally unnecessary look at Leicester a club destroyed by stupid rules nothing to do with 11 men v 11 men

Unfortunately this could be a never ending saga claim and counter-claim in abundance
I will never see a conclusion as too much is at stake for this to be rapidly dealt with

Can there ever be an end to it? Legacy lasts forever. The effect of ManC actions on teams is unquestionable but then you have the ripple effect from there of the effect on those teams affecting other teams. Relegations affecting lower league teams, european places (or not) affecting other teams not in europe etc.

Dump Man C in the 12th tier, fine them, split the money between all other teams throughout the pyramid and tell teams to suck it up, get over it and move on.

Premier league clubs who think they have something to gain will be happy to support the PLs ongoing fight with Man City’s lawyers.
Sky sports news might chip in too, as the whole saga will keep them in content for years to come! 😄

Somebody mentioned SKY will be a little reserved as they said the owners have a stake in them in the Middle East.
Never the less there has to be line drawn under it as a shitfest

I've just looked on the Man City official club website and it doesn't get a mention 😂 Nothing to see here, move on attitude!

Given that they appear to have agreed with the Premier League (who have also made no statement about it) to keep it all confidential (HA!) and subject to non-disclosure agreements at this stage it is hardly a surprise. I am sure statements will be flying at the appropriate time. It's just been leaked early.

How low can they gat relegated? If the Prem deduct 100 points, for example, that relegates them to the Championship. Is there anything that the EFL can then do to relegate them to L1 or L2?

If the Prem expel them, would there be any obligation on the EFL to admit them, or could they be forced to apply the the Conference by default?

Anyone think day will come like bosman rulingkinda idea in clubs can spend what they want on whoever they want with no rules ?…..sarcasm welcome 😊👍 but I’m a dude who loves talking about clubs who produce their own or buy cleverly ie us when we won it and tbf West Ham 🔨 and Ajax were great in years past they can hold heads up…. Ok history will show hammers not won league but fair play to em for how they use to operate and Ajax were incredible….i fall sleep with manc and Chelsea stories last few year and the other 4 tbh ….gimme rep cruyff neeskins suurbier haan etc any day …and a spellchecker 😂😂🇳🇱

Even if they get an enormous fine and are booted down to League 2 it won't make any material difference to them. Look at the punishment Rangers got a few years ago. They had a few seasons of steam-rolling the lower divisions, their fans had a fun ride and they were back in the top two at the earliest opportunity. Even if Man City's owners decided to sell up they will be purchased by some American tech billionaire and they will be back at the top at the earliest opportunity again.
The "Big Six" are so entrenched at the top of the financial pyramid, with huge turnover and masses of foreign fans, short of banning them form competition for a decade nothing will affect them beyond a few minor inconveniences and years of whining from their fans.

I wish that could be said for Bordeaux.

maybe 7 or 8 local home grown players in the matchday squad?that would help the national team too. by home grown I mean with 3 years residential qualification----that would calm the transfer market down a bit

What does it even mean to have your titles taken off you? They won them, even if they cheated, put an asterisk and forget that. The fans will always remember winning. They need to pay financially but the only real penalty that will hurt them and be a deterrent for rich clubs is expulsion, from the premier league, from the EFL, to have to go to non league and take a decade to get back, even if they keep their backing.

This is so big that it’ll be all kept behind closed doors IMO. They’ll be an undisclosed fine but it’ll be so big that it’ll keep the PL going for years on that fine alone. I reckon after all the appeals they’ll be also done say 30ish points at the start of the season giving them enough leeway to escape relegation.
If you look at Chelsea they’ve got away with murder. It’ll be the same here

It will all end up with a under the counter job..bunging a few million and nothing will change, thats what happens in the world of the rich and powerful.
Says cynical me

To be fair, the posts i read are all "we did it, we're fucked, we had it coming" as opposed the desperate denial that I expected. Having said that, there are over 7000 pages in a few hours so I may not have read the lot...
Largely giving it the “circle the wagons”, line. Some think the PL cant exist without them, victimhood is rife!

The reoccurring line that has come out these last few days though LG is the fact of their non compliance over everything. Something that the new Chelsea owners came clean about straight away apparently after seeing the books. (for the record I know they have & do get away with absolute murder)
Your talking about not only players but managers being paid into multiple bank accounts so massive amounts weren’t on the spreadsheets allegedly.

Fine MCFC 1 £million for every guilty charge, so £114,000,000, 50% to be paid with 30 days, the balance within 12 months.
This money to go to the Football Association, not the PL.
Then it can be distributed to non league/ junior clubs to improve their pitches, irrigation, floodlights stands etc, strictly regulated so it does not find it's way into players and admin pockets.
You have a club like Anstey Nomads punching above their weight in the non league pyramid but with a Senior League ground, the kids pitch next door, make it Desso, give em some lights to train in the evenings, even somewhere to change.
Hit Man City in the pocket and improve kids and non league facilities, I would have no problem if you Roofers want them demoted to Division 2.

I see the prem league execs are already ruling out expulsion from the league. The championship aren't interested in them spending 1 season there after a points deduction, as it would simply take up a promotion space.

Certainly doesn't sound as though it is going to be as comparatively damaging as the small single rule breaking of the little clubs.
