Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves has gone to some Saudi club for £47m despite only having a year left on his contract. Same age as Maddison. So hopefully we’ll get similar for him. Also premium for English players. Fingers crossed.

Maddison is a far better player than neves.

Nice idea but it’s highly unlikely that we’ll get close to that unless there’s a bidding war between two sides both of which he’s happy to join.

The Saudi clubs can afford it but only a limited set of players want to go and play there, mainly those looking for a final big pension contribution.

You can't make a comparison with Saudi clubs. They pay whatever they see fit to get whoever they want. No idea how true, a Wolves fan mate of mine reckons he's offered £700k per week.

Heard this morning from a wolves lad that the rumour going round is that he’ll be loaned out to Newcastle once signed to get round ffp.

I heard the same rumour earlier this year about Ronaldo and Newcastle, if they got into the Champions League. When they’re owned by the Saudi government, who seem to be controlling their own league, you can see how this could be possible.
