Three points behind Surrey, with more wins! Time for a screen-grab, me thinks, before the cunts in charge deduct some points for doing something to avoid a dull draw after two 500+ first innings...

I can't believe all this speculation about the wicket. The game went beyond lunch on the 4th day, 2 batsmen scored in the 90's & 774 runs were scored in total. It was tricky but it was fair to both teams & more or less guaranteed a result & produced a fantastic,exciting game of cricket.
Much better this than a featherbed that both teams get 600 on & is a so boring draw

Yes but we are Leicestershire not some BCC hundred team so we know what will happen, if not this game another one if we are looking like stopping up at the expense of a Surrey or Hampshire.

The schedule for Division 1 is a bit weird. There are 10 competing teams and not every team plays each other twice. It doesn’t go to 18 games if it was playing each team twice. It falls shorter than that. Division 2 has 8 teams and they do all play each other twice. How they work it out I do not know?

Andrew Strauss and his cronies sit down at the start of the year, and use the very latest in algorithms and AI software to calculate the hardest possible set of fixtures that could be arranged for LCCC to remain in their current division. Special favouritism is applied wherever possible to BCCCCs (Big Cunty County Cricket Clubs).
So come on County! PLEASE stay up...
 
I also noticed that the two divisions have different number of teams.
I know they used to have nine in each, don’t know why it changed, or when.
Northants are trying to get promoted, are currently in third place, but, their next two games are both at home against the two teams above them.
Don’t hold a lot of hope for them, but you never know.
 
I was told a while back that it changed after the '3 groups of 6' during covid. No idea if that's true or not.
Can't be many other instances of this crazy unevenness in top level sport – but then of course the latest football CL reformatting has brought in just that. So it must be a good thing, huh? :ROFLMAO:
