Happy to join and pay for ad freeHello everyone!
I don’t think anyone on here will begrudge Mac his wish to gracefully retire from hosting this madhouse. We all owe him a big round of thanks for continuing his and Micky’s good work alone for the past few years.
But I’m relieved to be able to share the exciting news that a long-standing and very well-respected good ‘un from the Roof is busy planning and preparing a direct replacement message board for us. This means that Mac will see his wish come good, whilst we all continue to have a place to share our love with one another.
The plan is to keep the costs of the new site to an absolute minimum. The main cost is likely to be keeping the site ad-free, which will remove what many people may regard as a major irritation to their regular use. (It may prove a bit harder to remove the irritating posters, mind…)
It’ll be very helpful if you can please reply to this post, just to say;
if you’d be willing to go through the necessary process of registering with a new site,
whether you currently donate £1 per month, and
whether being ad-free is important to you?
Thanks very much.
(PM replies are fine too, if you don’t want to go public.)

Don’t leave it too long or the club will have gone out of businessThanks all, for the continuing replies and encouragement. Please rest assured that all your comments, requests and suggestions will of course be totally ignored...
But we thought it worth clarifying that the overall timescale for the changeover is likely to be a few weeks. There's quite a lot to do and, like Liam Gallagher thoughtfully explains in the new Oasis film, 'it takes an awful lot of caring to not give a fuck'![]()
Don't worry – you can post your commiserations etc on here in the meantimeDon’t leave it too long or the club will have gone out of business
We are working on, and it should be achievable, leaving the whole thing as it is. Fingers crossed.Will it be possible to export some of ongoing chats to the new board?
Save the Musical Connection thread, JG’s work of genius. We need a petition.We are working on, and it should be achievable, leaving the whole thing as it is. Fingers crossed.
Willing - not bothered about the ads tbhHello everyone!
