Leeds red card

wints

Roofer
Just cant see it myself. Won the ball, and Elliott fell on himself. Ref initially gave nothing, then when Salah screamed at him he stopped the game. VAR then claimed that the ref was always going to give the red card even without the VAR review. Gary Neville says, I dont think it was a red card tackle but hes given a red on the basis of the injury. WTF does that even mean??

Never a red card - not even a foul. Giving a red card just because somebody got badly hurt is a daft precedent to set.

Agreed, never a red card in a million years & the ref/var get away with it because the punished player doesn’t complain about it due to him being distraught at what’s happened to a fellow pro.
Also klopp becomes more classless with every passing week.

Absolutely spot on

Neville is right. The red card was given on the outcome of what happened, not the challenge
They bucked the job up

From BBC website

"On Monday, Elliott replied to an Instagram post saying Struijk had nothing to apologise for.
He wrote: "Wasn't his fault what so ever! Neither was it a red card just a freak accident but these things happen in football."

Confirmation that with all the TV reviews available, VAR still cant get things right.

Great attitude from a young kid 👍

But lose the appeal against his dismissal. Laughable and absolutely no chance of the same outcome if they were one of the 'super six'

I am not sure what you expected, preferential treatment for the 'important' clubs, make an example of the rest. Been that way as long as the PL has existed, probably before that too.

Exactly the same thing happened in that Poland game. The Polish lad got the blame and the Germans came out of their technical area so fast they occupied Walsall in three days.
