According to the BBC, they have had a bid of 70 million turned down for Maddison. I am not sure if he has a release clause valuation on his contract?.

Just a point of caution here. He's a fragile lad so throwing him and dropping him is probably unwise. Other than that, job done.

Give him another season. Hopefully he'll start next season fully fit with a point to prove, having had a porr end to the season and missed the Euros. On his day he's the best player we have in the role just behind the striker(s). He can spot an opening or create one with a little turn that others can't. Yeah he's a bit of a big time Charlie and a bit of a luxury player but let's see if Brendan can get that out of him with a bit of an arm round the shoulder approach. Feed his ego, tell him he's the best player on the pitch, he thrives on it.

If he doesn't get back to his best then flog him. We'll still make a profit.
