Steve Howard and Joe Mattock scored as Leicester won away at Yeovil in League One.

Team: David Martin, Kerrea Gilbert, Michael Morrison, Jack Hobbs, Bruno Berner, Matt Oakley, Andy King, Mark Davies, Lloyd Dyer, Matty Fryatt, Steve Howard

Looking at that team, it was good enough to win this season’s league 1, and possibly survive in the lower half of this season’s championship.

Whatever happened to Mark Davies?

He injured himself recovering from an injury which he had sustained alighting the physio's couch after a post-long-term-lay-off-through-injury fitness check.

Can remember having a brief chat with Don Goodman near the Yeovil ground just before that match. He was heading for the media van just outside. Came across as a very pleasant chap!

That's how he strikes me too. He does look though, as if he's been permanently standing in a facing wind since the day he was born.

Many years ago, he definitely wasn’t a fan of us.
I remember a midweek game away to West Ham (could have been a Monday night) when Martin O’Neill was in charge, and he was very uncomplimentary to us.
Maybe went back to the days when he played against us for Wolves ?

Bunn saved the penalty at Bristol Rovers when Jack Hobbs got sent off on 55 minutes. Fryatt had put us ahead earlier and we saw out the game 1-0 with 10 men. Club record unbeaten run!

My favourite shilo keeper was Lars Hirschfeld who piqued at the lack of pitch time he'd been given, got the gig at Plymouth and aimed every single goal kick at Craig Levein in the dugout. He had Levine ducking and diving all over the place, catching his glasses as they fell off and all sorts. Funny as.

Was that the end of season nil nil?

I recall our keepers kicking being rather Kasperesque that day.
If that's true Bruin , then that's hilarious.

Russell Hoult called on to play while still scoffing a hot dog in the stands. Carl Muggleton injured his back during the warm up. It was our first ever live televised League match, against Wolves at Filbert Street in 1992!

It was, 2005, I'm good pals with the ex Plymouth striker Mikey Evans who used to get me tickets whenever they played City. Plymouth had a very good team at the time so the draw was a decent result at the time.
We played them the same year down at home park and it was abandoned when we were one nil down, big Rab Douglas in goal I think.

Aah Rab Douglas. I recall we were a goal to the good, deep into injury time, Rab collects the ball after a bit of a goalmouth melee, inexplicably quickly throws the ball out to our left winger who was trotting up to the half way line, blissfully unaware of the missile approaching him from behind. Unlike the oppostion forward. Two points chucked away. Rab just grinned, ffs.

What’s more remarkable is that he’d eaten a Sunday Roast dinner before heading down to the ground too.
