A Cup of Tea

Today, as I shuffled through the garden hedge, I caught my pullover on a thorn. It was annoying as my dear wife had knitted me this pullover two years ago and it still remained dear to me as a clothing favourite. I came into the kitchen and realised that she'd been at the sink, watching me as I had been inspecting the pulled thread.
"I'll fix it," she smiled, and she did.
Later I sat drinking a cup of tea and had a think about the horrid lives that some Bentley Roof members have sunk into. My advice to Richard Vanels and the like is to get yourself a stable life. Find yourself a wife who fixes pulled threads and smiles at you when you enter the kitchen.
There's wisdom in the quietness that we have found.
There's shiny, ruby, warm goodness to a cup of tea. But it's best to drink it with a warm and happy heart.

You were having a poo in the garden weren’t ya.
An Al fresco dump.
I knew a guy who used to send his mrs out in the garden to do it so he could watch her out the kitchen window.
She wanted a puppy but he wouldn’t let her have one coz he didn’t want it shitting on the lawn.
Could never work that one out.

Quite astounding that my vignette of simple, beauty can conjure up such reactions. To be quite frank, often we are baffled by the phrases used, yet the meaning is clearly insulting.

I did pray for you. I prayed for you as promised.
You do know that I was not 'having a poo', but be that as it may.
Once more, Mr Lavatory Venels strikes again with his toilet brush tales of warped minds, hell-bent on defecation, and nothing but defecation.
I ask you. My wife asks you. Please stop, think and do your best to send out a positive message. Why not reach out? Why not? Take a moment to find the quiet that blankets you if you will only let it embrace you.

It’s your fault, you didn’t pray very hard did you.

You're anonymous, in another country and safe. And btw buddy, I'm a good guy. No need to send out a Hackney text or immitate Stam.
Phew, I was quaking in my boots.

Nice little swerve though. If you come on an internet forum doshing out snarky comments you might need to frow a thicker skin, cos it's coming back atcha buddy 😘

If you're going to write absolute trash, what's wrong with pointing out that it's just a bit trashier than you thought?
Suck it up honey pots as it comes back 'atcha'

🤩
Many members of this site have issues. I concede that it may be tiresome if one decides to communicate with them. But those issues clearly do still remain, and as is patently clear, they are on show here. With that in mind, don't you think it might be better to show a little patience and sympathy to others?

Will the Quiet Room return?

Looks like you’ll have to bring your calmness and cheery offer of tea and maybe a bourbon or custard cream to this room, BJ.
We all need a bit of inner peace and tranquility, don’t we, eh?

my misses can't knit and if she could she wouldn't have time, she's pointing a chimney up this morning and digging some footings out for me later.

Now you mention it, l could do with a nice cup of tea I'll get her off the roof for ten minutes to make me one, she can make the time up later.
