Never understand why Andorra San Marino Lichtenstein et cetera play international football, always think they’d be better off concentrating on having a league team or teams & playing in the league next door like Monaco, thought this first years ago when Bonini of Juventus played for San Marino… Though Maybe Italy didn’t fancy picking him as a full international? But tonight it will be 10 men behind the ball and we see enough of that when teams play Manchester City in the Premier at least half the time.🤭 okay? The terrible team I played for as a young lad got throttled every weekend bar one hence me getting in the team but that was fun. This is a suppose to be international football.
 
I flirted with the notion for some time that only nations shuuld be eligable and then realised that
Wales would not qualify. Or N. Ireland or Scotland...

Think it’s great that smaller nations get to play against the bigger nations.

They may not win, but the fact they may hold a team at bay, or even score a goal themselves, is something they can aim for & revel in.
 
I think they should all be included but a revamping of the qualifying system is needed.
Put about 10 of the lowest ranked nations together in a pre qualifying group, with just the top 2 joining the rest in qualifying.
Imo it's a negative thing to run a closed shop.
It would destroy the hopes of teams in the 7th and 8th tiers of climbing the ladder and reaching the EFL.
On another scale the BCC's could close the door on the likes of us, although sadly the current rules have almost done it regardless.
Sport needs competition, but it also should allow for individuals or teams the opportunity to dream.
 
It would be wrong to exclude them but we need fewer lower tier countries.
Currently we have 55 countries in the European Qualification games. (54 at the moment due to Russia being excluded)
Take the bottom 12 and 2 qualify to compete with the remaining 42 countries = 44 countries.
Split them into 11 groups of 4 with the winners automatically qualifying and playoffs for the remaining places.
 
My mate has gone. They’re playing in Barcelona at Espagnol’s ground. Upto 10000 England fans have bought tickets. Quite staggering support. Apparently the price of the tickets start at €50!! The Andorrans aren’t stupid.

Wasting their money so far. England under Tuchel are utter crap
 
Don’t agree with a closed shop .. but these are stupid games. If teams literally don’t care about winning it is relatively easy to stop even good players playing. There absolutely should be some sort of ‘pre qualifying’ for the smaller nations. But as always there is money and vested interest that will stop it happening.

Wait till you have got 48 teams in the WC.
It's complete overkill and the pinnacle of the game is now being devoured by pure greed.
Still you'll get to watch more games....... Macedonia v Gabon.............Albania v Slovenia.......Bolivia v zzzzzzzxx
