Bought a ticket off a spiv outside Loftus Road just before the game. Couldn't believe the sight of thousands of city fans packed into the ground. Great afternoon and absolutely wild celebrations. Joe Waters only played because Birch was injured. Shame we drew Liverpool in the semi final.

That was some performance. QPR were a good side and above us in the table. Without Birchy our midfield looked weak but Sammels worked like a Trojan. Hardly noticed Waters before his first goal but what a goal. Sadly he never did much more for us after that game. Bit like Trebilcock for Everton.

Shame you weren’t standing outside the School Lane end at around 2.10pm when it was announced the game was definitely on. ( pitch inspection at 2.00). There were 100’s of tickets thrown over the wall to our ticketless lot below

Sammy Lee scored for them ?
Ended up scrapping with the QPR fans outside.
