Big miss for the County

Big blow on the eve of the new season. Handscomb often anchored the batting when County were struggling, rare last year in what was a brilliant campaign. He is a really well respected leader and will be sorely missed.

Obviously something serious going on, wish him all the best. He is still club captain. Weatherald good player, don’t know about Kelly.

Weatherald has the potential of making the same impact as Harris. Good replacement.

All we need to do is beat Glamorgan and we stay up..

Handscomb will be a big miss but we’ll still have enough to stay up.

I’m not able to come up this weekend but is anyone planning Surrey the week after? I think our friendly landlord is going on the Sunday depending on the weather.

On the contrary...
Just one 50 against England this winter
First class average only in the mid 30s
No experience of county cricket
No warm-up
No idea how he'll help the dressing room
Not captain material

Yes, he may work out, but no Handscomb...
