Brexit Update

What is Britishness?

Scared of a foreign language - oooh.

Fairly good chance they can speak better English than most, & likely to be fluent in a number of languages too.

But then that kind of intelligence is scary I suppose.
Can you fucking hear yourself?

Where have I once said I’m scared of a foreign language.
I speak some Hindi , and a little Gujarati, so fucking what?

Scared? You just make shit up and use it as an argument.

There is no such thing in my world as Britishness. Englishness, Scottishness, Cornishness and the rest yes, Britishness, no.

You have pointedly described yourself as a 'British Asian', you can have an identity but I can not? Bollox.

Living in Spain we paid our taxes as most ex pats do, income tax for Mrs AFC, and all the usual property and wealth taxes, even though (contrary to EU law) some taxes were higher for foreign residents than locals.
But this time?

Many ex pats don't. Hence why they are not legally resident.

Not true. If you work you pay income tax, if you run a business you pay tax, if you own your home you pay tax, if you buy something you pay VAT.

A lot of ex pats do not work, therefore they are not liable for income tax, everything else they pay. If you are renting, which this time we would, and staying short term, you do not pay property/wealth taxes but you may well pay local taxes/basura. Depends on you rental agreement.

I put up a post last week asking what peope understand as ‘British’
No takers

Foxgolfer, for me Britishness is about being “about right” don’t take the piss, buy a round, enjoy the UK for all it is, don’t tell others they’re wrong unless you can prove it and if I’m not upsetting you leave me alone.

What are you on ?
No doubt having supplied you with comprehensive proof of food price inflation you will now demand “ facts”
It is not comprehensive proof. It the figure for one month. As I clearly stated in the preceding months food prices decreased by more than they did in France and Germany. As a fact food prices increased in Germany and France at the same time as they did here.

You really need to spend more time doing research rather than trawling the net for single articles that are poorly written and focus on short time frames

Agreed but that's not the point is asking.

I am interested in understanding where your start point is for your comments
My start point for comments is further up this thread. The issue around race specifically, was brought up by someone else.

Fine. You are not prepared to give a simple answer to a simple question.

There is no point in trying to engage with you as you are dishonest so I will refrain from reading what you have to say in future.

Pen4's ignore list getting longer as people aren't prepared to answer his questions how he wants or keep feeding him links. Not very good at forums is he?

What a shame. It was only necessary to go further up the thread to get the answers, but it appears even that’s too much for some.

I don't want links - just facts rather than assertions. The information is out there if you are reasonably intelligent. But then you are a fucking idiot as you demonstrate with everything that you post.
Many of the answers you were looking for were further up the thread. That you couldn’t be bothered to look isn’t anyone’s fault.
