I’m a bit mixed up about this. Are we looking to offload him? If so why? To me given his age and money paid for him what’s the point. I think he could come good in the end. I’d hate him to leave for just a few million and then do a Krameric. Good strikers are hard to come by. Loan him out if necessary

We need the money if someone offers good money for him.

We signed him despite his medical showing he had broken his back.

We signed him as a replacement for Daka but the move for Daka broke down and we still went ahead.

We signed him giving £7m to Everton who desperately needed it to comply with PSR.

The whole thing stank.

But how good is that money likely to be and for what? For PSR and/or to get another striker? 1 year into a 5 year contract means we would have to make over c£5.5m in a transfer fee to generate a profit and then presumably need to buy one replacement (two if you think even with him here we needed another striker though personally it is the middle of the park that scares me even more at the moment). Given age and experience I suspect he isn't anywhere near a big earner either. Financially unless it is silly money and/or they see no hope it makes little sense to sell. Also, he still qualifies as an Under-21 player so doesn't take a place in the 25. Whilst you seem keen to get rid, I don't see what's to be gained by selling.

Personally I was very impressed with him last season on the few occasions when he played and think he has something about him. I can understand us looking at loans given his lack of involvement last year (though obviously I'd love it if he stayed and was banging them in left, right and centre but that would be some ask at this stage in his career) but would hope if so it was with the possibility of a recall (if that is even allowed these days).

As l said in the earlier in the Ayue thread this lad is an upgrade on Daka l fail to see what the.managers see in Daka ok he gets into positions draws defenders but bugger all else it's OK to get in positions but when you fail to offer anything from those places what's the bloody point in playing him.
Give Cannon a decent run of games to see if he has anything about him then decide
Jesus H how many more chances are you going to give Daka .......How long has he been here ??? Yes the club paid good money but the return is minimal

I thought he looked pretty decent from what little game time he had, made some great little runs off the shoulder of the last defender but not picked out. I'd like to see him given a decent chance. Maybe he"s shit in training, whereas Daka looks great.

Why ship Cannon out and then say we are interested in Ayew, it’s Feckin Daka who wants shipping out…
Agree, but nobody wants him !!!! Like the other deadwood we are stuck with.
But I'm sure Rudkin will find some penniless Italian outfit too take the piss as usual!!

I have to say conjuring up a picture of Arthur Rowleys left foot when releasing a shot if Daka had a tenth of that lethal weapon he would get my vote, but just can't imagine anything from him being close to the fear Arthur put into defenders minds
