It didn't work anyway. When I went to Man City, I had to text a number saying I haven't got covid and then they sent me a text saying you haven't got covid, and then I showed that text to some security woman to get in.

The UK authorities have, for the moment, stepped back from making the passes and the vaccinations compulsory.

Surprising though I think that is, it is definitely to be welcomed. That said I still feel that this is far from over.

We are off for a few days, anniversary celebrations, wonderful that the restrictions will be lifted tomorrow, great timing. First time that we have been away (for more than a hospital visit) in nearly two years. Huzzah!

I don't want to comment on how people behave on here, but I can make an argument for the UK being a special case when it comes to not accepting i.d. cards and such things. The people on here echo that.

I've had my Covid card for about a year now. It fluctuates, but mostly people in Hungary don't bother checking me, but when I've been to a place where there were loads of tourists, an outdoor Christmas market, I couldn't get in without it. I doubt I can get on some planes and if I want to cross the border into Austria, same thing applies, only there, being double-jabbed isn't enough: three jabs gets you in, else you need Covid pass, plus a test, plus i.d. to prove who you are. .

Most of Europe has the pass, with varying degrees of strictness, and stupid rules.

Basically, people who predicted the pass have been proved right. Just not so much in the UK.

Oh, and when I go to international football matches, I can't get in without the pass, plus i.d. to prove who I am. Never used to need i.d. to get in.
