I wasn’t a fan of switching over I did it last year and if I’m honest it’s ok. If you pay for things by your phone then it’s the same principle. There is some guidance here https://www.lcfc.com/pages/en/media-article/Leicester-City-Mobile-Ticket-FAQs

Will try to help with any questions you have.

Choosing to use your phone as a payment method is exactly that...a choice. LCFC have not given us a choice.

And anyway, it's not as easy to use digital ticketing as it is to pay for stuff. For entry to the ground you have to select the specific match ticket, so each game requires "maintenance" of your phone wallet (see the Foxes Trust thread and read the minutes for the troubles some people have). You don't need to do that every time you want to pay for something, you only have to add your payment card once and don't ever have to "maintain" it.

The match tickets update after each game so it’s a double click like you do to use Apple Pay and the ticket is there. On the odd occasion it hasn’t updated granted but the club email you prior to the game to check and provide instructions on how to update if it’s hasn’t.

I was against it, I’ve tried it for a year and it’s been fine the only challenge really is that it’s not as easy to transfer a ticket than giving someone your card.

So get yourself down the County.
Pay on the gate.
Sit where you want.
Help finance and secure the future of LCCC.
Even if it's just a T20 or One Day match.
They are going digital in the next couple of years also you can't pay on the gate you have to go to the ticket office and they don't accept cash

Have you got a workaround for next season or have you been resigned to compliance?
At the moment neither!

I don't expect any change from LCFC so I am still considering my approach (any chance of change I feel disappeared a long time ago with there being no apparent coherent fundamental argument against a digital only approach [for those not in select age groups] from supporters & supporter organisations locally or nationally as far as I can see).

The e-tickets are shit. I know exactly how they're supposed to work but they rarely actually do. I normally have to open the QR code and scan in which is why the queues are so bad presumably.

I thought you could forward the email to someone else and they could download onto their phone.
Will the download only work on a phone with the number they have on their record?

I don't know. I don't care. None of this has ever been to do with Transferring tickets for me but I was told that, yes, emails could be forwarded for the BHA away tickets (as long as they were only opened by the end recipient) but that LCFC's intent was for tickets to only work on the phones they have on record. No idea if that is true. As I say, it makes no odds to me as I am fundamentally opposed to digital tickets not being a choice.

I bought a ticket for my nephew who had come over from Australia and forwarded the email to him, he had no problem using the ticket to get in

Was that for Brighton away or a home game?
Sorry, I think I’d not realised you were referring to away tickets, yes it was for a home game
For home games you might want to work out if there is a distinction between the delivery methods for Season and Match tickets. I didn't think the entry for Season Tickets were delivered by email thinking about it but, as I say, I don't know as I have stayed clear.

I think, and might be wrong, that we'll get a single email before season starts and when we click the link it will add the ST to the phones wallet.

So whichever phone you are using at that moment will be the one that has the ticket for the entire season, whether that be your regular phone, or an old one that's been kicking around in a drawer and you can use as a burner.

Some we're using digital tickets at home last season. I thought they still had to download them match by match. Certainly the club sent out instructions before each game

From FT:
guys if they dont change it for next season you dont need a separate phone etc. Just turn NFC off on YOUR CURRENT phone and the ticket will show with a QR that you can then share with who ever.

This will only NOT WORK if the club move to dynamic QR codes - they havent yet so i doubt they will now. You probably wont know until the first game of the season though.
