Get Huth in

Or Morgan he should never of left the club. Is it a coincidence our defensive record has been shocking since he left the club.

Remember what a shambles Wes was before Huth arrived?
Rodgers needs to be proactive instead of defending the indefensible. No-one at the Club is capable of defending anything right now anyway!
The Napoli game is massive. We need to win it.

Wes wasn't a shambles they brought the best out of each even Huth admits this.

The interesting thing is that when Harry defected we were delighted that CS took his place seamlessly.
He then forged a well respected pair with JE. And at the start of this season it was thought that JE's return would reinstall the central defence. This has not happened.
When Huth came he became the organiser and Wes benefitted from being the second man.
The question now is JE up to the job? Physical presence has never been his strength.
But the now obvious need for another Huth begs the question who should give way for a big strong, dominant force there?
CS is no 'main man'. The return of WF does not provide an answer as he is a similar ground playing type as CS.
Neither Vest nor DA (could he be converted into a centre back?) seem any answer so the hunt has to be on for a new, experienced man.
And they are like hens' teeth...

Crouchie raves about him in his book, says Huth saw it as a badge of honour if he got clattered and had "half his forehead missing" at Stoke.

I know I’m in a minority but never rated Morgan and still can’t believe we won a league with him in defence

That photo someone helpfully posted says it all. If it is about zonal marking, why was lightweight Thomas left alone to mark the far post zone which happened to be occupied by two of their biggest players ? I am pretty certain that if Huth had been there he would have made sure they were picked up. Our problems are made worse by the knowledge (ours, the oppo, everyone except Rodgers, apparently) that Casper will not be challenging for the ball, so we are one player down already.

Agree but like Huth says they brought the best out of each other. Both good players in their own right but together they were an unmovable force.

What would you expect Huth to say? I'm great and he's shite?

Also, there's no such thing as an "unmovable force"

Look at the West Ham defence. Look at the Villa defence. The Burnley defence is better than ours and they’re bottom 3. We’ve got the worst defence in the league at the moment and a keeper who can’t/won’t come for crosses. Good defenders aren’t like hens teeth, it’s just that ours are shit.
