strangely enough, in the exact style as Daz - ain't that bizarre, one goes and a new idiot appears.bnet - utter fake news merchant.
Two bits of 'inside information' and both absolute nonsense. As usual.

Well spotted.strangely enough, in the exact style as Daz - ain't that bizarre, one goes and a new idiot appears.
Bnet, approximately how old is that picture, any idea?
heres an old photo of the site, you can see what appears to be a rail track coming off the Burton line into the power station close to that shed. There other photos showing small steam engines working on the site, so this might explain the turntable. How else would you turn a train around in a limited area.
I'm sick to death of this Nazi cunt wanting to have a go at me when he's had a drink. I don't have to prove anything, and l don't tell lies, where's the benefit of me making a story up about such a matter, none, its just this shit bags issues that he can't deal with but gets pissed and acts like a bitchy women.
not sure but it could well be 1946 as l read that dat on one of the bits while looking, the power station was built in the 1920's.Bnet, approximately how old is that picture, any idea?
My mate and Abs nephew is a planning consultant in Leicester and also sits in the directors box, I'll ask him what he knows about it later. The only listed building in that area is the the Raw Dyke's itself.
National history will confirm.
That’s what I thought. The only listed building in that area is the the Raw Dyke's itself.

Why do people have ago at bnet when all he's doing is passing on info he's been told,That’s what I thought.
Maybe as part of the plans we could make it more of a feature.
I love this picture. Of greater significance is you can see the Filbert Street floodlights in the background.
on this you can see the railway line going from the Ivanhoe line into the area where the building that was the electricity building that we are talking about is.
Correct, The shunters would run around using the myriad of hand-operated points that these plants always had.I love this picture. Of greater significance is you can see the Filbert Street floodlights in the background.
When I was a trainspotter 60 years ago I used to go down to the bridge where the Leicester Burton line crossed the GCR. In the evening you would see the Fish train pulled by a Brit on the GCR and if you were lucky a goods pulled by a Joob on the Burton now called Ivanhoe line.
A turntable in the works would be highly unlikely since as Micky says little tank engines like the one pictured did not need to be turned.
Abuse aside, threads like this are why I love the Roof.
The. function of the building as already been moved elsewhere. Who's to say that someone hasn't stuck a notice in regarding this building and it is just slowing the process down. The National Grid Refurbishment Centre, as already stated - the club has planning permission for the demolition.
There are already plans in place to build a replacement in Desford.
The current building is not listed.
The club plans to enhance the Raw Dykes Scheduled Monument.
I’m not having a go at Bnet. I’m just suggesting we could make something of the dyke. At least have a viewing area and a board with the history written for visitors to read. The plans show a footpath past it in that corner to allow for a swifter exit onto Saffron Lane / Aylestone Road. Why do people have ago at bnet when all he's doing is passing on info he's been told,

Sorry Daggers I didn’t mean for your message to be on my post, nothing meant by it just a mistakeSeeing this bit of history and the photo’s have been really interesting so thanks @bnet and @hackneyfox
Had it not been for the spat the research and photo’s may not have been done.
l do this sort of stuff every time l need to know something to be honest, and wouldn't have bothered if that prick hadn't insinuated, again, that I'm a liar. He does this bitter disrespectful shit when hes had a booze.Seeing this bit of history and the photo’s have been really interesting so thanks @bnet and @hackneyfox

Get fuckedOnce again, I never insinuated you were a liar, I questioned your source and why they hadn't thought it through before passing it on to you.
cuntWho told you though, same person that told you about the planning?
Cmon stop teasing, what's the BR gossip ffs???????Not sure if its been mentioned before, but heres the problem.
The electricity building is a listed building and can't be touched. This building was originally built as a railway turntable, so as that history. They can build around it or over it and they are looking at it as an indoor event venue now as its very big. They don't have planning permission yet so they have to sort this out.
Tell you about Rodgers later !
no pointCmon stop teasing, what's the BR gossip ffs???????
