Ground Extension

Fucking loved this.
Leicester has ,
10 scheduled monuments..
14 grade one listed buildings.
36 grade two listed buildings.

That's it .

The raw Dyke's drops into the scheduled monuments category. Don't know what they intend to do but I really hope it's something special .

There are over 400 Listed Buildings in Leicester and 24 Conservation Areas, as well as over 400 other structures on the Local Heritage List.

Most football supporters probably don't realise the proximity of a two thousand year old aqueduct, on the doorstep of the stadium.

I would imagine that these are the buildings in question?

Great pic, in all my years going down the City I donโ€™t think I ever walked towards the power station after a game, either walked with my late Brother Shay to his โ€˜birdsโ€™ house on Rydal St, walked back home past the train station to our old house on Wood Hill or in later years walked into town on the razzle, never realised how much ground the power station coveredโ€ฆ

strangely enough, in the exact style as Daz - ain't that bizarre, one goes and a new idiot appears.

I'm just a lurker bnet. Not linked to anyone else.

I was drawn into posting by you very obviously making stuff up and pretending it was truth.

I claim no inside knowledge, just plain common sense, which does rather lean to the point of view that "listed buildings" and that sort of thing are the first thing to get flagged up, along with SSSI's, newts, etc. so it'll be more to do with the Council staff still largely working from home and not being that efficient, plus the multitude of issues they are legally obliged to address in any development of this size. Jeez it took them longer than this to put that king in a box and it was their own application.

As BNET stated, he cannot divulge who told him this information, I have posted information that was, can I say only certain people should know and have had the wrath of LCFC via a friend who worked at the club. So Yes, LCFC definately read these boards (and others) so when BNET makes comments like this he is going to get hammered.
I have loads of stories I could divulge on here about this manager or that but wont.

Their is a lad on Twitter โ€˜Sam Hunterโ€™ who used to put the City team out early like Shaun from Enderby did but he said he was at the awards the other night and had a bollockin from Rodgers & co, he still posts little snippets but not the full team any more so sources are being monitoredโ€ฆ

Me and mac know who the LCFC member is but we can't divulge it. He/She hasn't posted a single post yet but he/she has been on here every day

Forget the conspiracy theories
The facts
Economy slowing
cost of financing rising
Proven by the recent European games nobody breaking down the gates to get tickets
Probably less season tickets sold next season
Why build a bigger stadium ?๐Ÿ˜

Agreed.
Knock down the stands and just put a bit of rope around the pitch.

Talking about Wet Spam again, are you ?

l went down the ground this morning and had a look around these sheds and the embankments at the back. The sheds are massive and that train in the photo previous would easily tun in them. They're about the length of a football pitch.

The bridge on Aylestone road is wider one side than the other and you can see that its a spur into the cooling tower yards where the train is on the same photo and you can see where the old sidings where at the back of the club car park.

No Bnet

LG Fox you need anger management sessions

West Ham have a 60,000 stadium , how they arrived at that is not relevant

The atmosphere there is no worse than the Kingpower

They are moving forward against playing in a stadium then is no bigger than Derby
or Middlesborough

My late Uncle worked at the power station in the 60s and 70s and I can remember him talking about the trains quite often, it was quite a complex set up.

there looks like there was a gate and footpath on the old photos from the Aylestone road Bridge to where the ground is. l guess thats going to be where the new path will be on the plans.

Had a fucking dream about this last night. After going to a match, we went and visited the rail museum at the back of the ground.

Had a big turntable in the middle with Thomas on it, constantly turning.

Scarred me life Casey you bastard.
