This pretty much sums up the current state of the Labour party.
The Momentum Left hate the Blairites as Tory-lite, and that there's some sort of socialist purity test you have to pass, and the centrists know that if they go all out lefty they will be as un-electable as Michael Foot's donkey jacket. Catch 22.
The apparatchiks in the Labour heirarchy have mostly changed from ordinary working class folk to middle class university educated, and they see the world and the party through their eyes, and nobody elses.
The Tories might be the Golgafrinchams from hitchhikers, with literally no clue how to govern, but they know how to pick some issues to win elections on.
The Left think that every voter is rational, and if you give them the facts they'll take make the sensible choice, but they don't.
Just look at some of the response to Hartlepool. A lot of people are saying "i can't understand how they voted that way", or words to that effect. That is the problem, you need to understand , and do something about it, not just tell them they're thick.

The country will only vote for working-class Labour MPs, who left school at 16 and don't live or work in London. The capital city; where MPs work.

Let’s get angry about statues, footballers , speakers at universities, foreigners , the proms, clothes people wear etc and no one will notice the dismantling of our democracy and the increasing inequality in our country .

Ask yourself why Labour is eating itself. Why can’t they get the above message through? Why do previous red wall voters not vote for them anymore?
