How can a lino miss that...

Even when it’s a “holiday” from the corrupt VAR the officials when left to their own ineptitude prove themselves to be even worse!

It's not As if they were off side by an eyelash or a toe nail we're talking feet and inches or the metric equivalent.

We all held our line well. The limo was bang in line with our line and the referee is looking up the pitch. Even the ref should have given it offside as it was so blatant. It’s an absolute joke.

I'm thinking Chelsea 1997, MON's beautiful fury, Danny Baker encouraging Leicester fans to gather outside the official's house and vent their feelings etc etc

“When Magoo Flew” (1954) and “Magoo’s Puddle Jumper” (1956) earned Academy Awards For Best Animated Short Film. “Magoo Fails To Wave A Flag” (2025) is only likely to earn a citation of opprobrium from The National Federation Of The Blind!
“Oh Magoo, you’ve done it again”.

Don't forget the 1995 classic " The treacherous Mark Magoo up the Cannock Creek"

It would seem that a Mr Magoo “clone” might be in sole charge of our scouting system nowadays.
I remember the legendary Paisley born Walter McLean our Chief Club Scout in Scotland during the Sixties era. Unearthing a veritable production line of promising young Scottish talent for Matt Gillies and Bert Johnson.

Ironic that Man U won their semi final last year thanks to VAR disallowing a last minute Cov winner - offside by a gnat's cock. Now they progress with a stoppage time winner clearly miles offside. No surprise both decisions go in their favour.
One was a great decision, the other a shite one.

If Leicester would have scored that goal you can bet your bottom dollar that his flag would have been straight up.

Even if it was Leicester it should have been flagged, same as Man Utd because it was miles offside. Not even close to being debatable.

Whatever way you look at it, the linesman ( fuck referees assistant) should have got that right 100 times out of 100.
Truly one of the most incompetent decisions I've seen made. On the basis of what happened you really would have to question if the linesman had took a bung.
Astonishingly inept.

No question, he must be bent, no one is that stupid

I think he was cold and ready for a shower and a pint. When the net bulged his only thought was thank f**k for that --no extra time and penalties and it never crossed his mind that it may be offside

I think it suited everyone. The tv so they didn’t have to extend the schedule, manure into round 5 so they’ll be 100% on tv for their millions of plastics, the lino, etc. I find the fact that he was the lino that disallowed Daka’s clear goal at Leeds quite interesting.

The handball decision that led to the free-kick was also wrong. Hits the point of JJ's elbow with his arms in a natural position, close to his body with the ball hit at him from close distance.

The lack of offside is particularly difficult to take as the team defended it well. Really solid high line that held its position as the free kick was taken. If the United players were onside, the cross drifts out for a goal kick!

Ref swayed by the crowd with the handball.

Corrupt as fuck.

Seriously I'd have an investigation into that decision and be heavily looking at that linos background. There must be some Man U bias in there somewhere.

I'd make sure he didn't run the line again.

I'd also be looking into the refs starting position there which was poor as well.

There needs to be consequences for these absolute fuckwit decisions.

There needs to be the drive for ever improvement which you just don't see with the level of officiating in this country it's as corrupt as fuck.

I also think the linos in particular have got lazy relying on VAR too much. They’re just not on it like they used to be. But yes, this was off the scale in its ineptitude
