I so do wish they be half empty stadia as Gnasher says but as said they’ll fill them up for free by giving them away to charitable organisations. The car parks ( which are being charged at around $300/match!) will be full of yellow buses!

I will not watch any of the TV coverage, it is just a circus. It was at one time a wonderful competition but its gone down the pan since it went to Russia then Qatar, dodgy and corrupt. I have not watched any international games for years and never will again.

I love the World Cup. It's the only thing outside of Leicester City that's given me a buzz.
That said it was just a pure stupid and greedy decision to turn it into a 48 team competition.
Elongated and with too many games with 2nd rate teams.
This is the pinnacle of sport and it's been watered down purely for money.
There was a day when it wasn't easy to even qualify but now they are letting any man and his dog walk through the door
