The same Walker Peters who was a mainstay for Soton last time they were relegated and has been whilst they ship goals this season too. No thanks.
 
i'd put a cheeky bid in for delap. helps us, harms ipswich. we really are missing a firm presence up top (sorry jamie you're past it).
we still need a new defence built around okoli and a combative midfielder. longstaff might be ok, but he might be another skipp.

Almiron is one strange player ( strange looking as well) he looked absolutely garbage for a couple or three seasons, then looked absolutely brilliant for a couple. Not sure how he's been recently but I'd love to see him at Leicester.

How have you put those two names in the same conversation?
It’s like hearing that Arsenal are looking to bid for isak or maybe daka. Moore was even on loan at Ipswich last season & they didn’t want to buy him afterwards. Nothing more than a run of the mill championship player.
Delap will be moving soon enough & it will be to a club in a much better position than the state of us.
 
This window will at least let us know for sure where we stand ! We’ve seen it in past players joining us with no real enthusiasm to be here and I’m thinking this is the same ,but hayho we will get someone in who’s agent will get him a good deal where money is concerned and that’s all that F matters to many on em , in the relegation battle Ipswich at least have spirit,I don’t see that here at present . Glad to be wrong all day long but despite all them created chances last week we’ve seen that before too ain’t we .

I thought they showed spirit last week as well against Man City. The aberration against Wolves is a different matter but harder to have spirit knowing you are playing without a goalkeeper.
 
I doubt we can get enough quality in to make a real fist of it anyway. We desperately need decent full backs and a centre back with pace and a little bit of positional awareness.

We are not the greatest up top but I think we have just about enough to scrape some wins together if we can improve the defence. We really need to ship out some of the dross but again on the wages they are on, who will go for them.

At least next year if we do go down we may get to see some of the talented kids we have a little more. Last season was more fun anyway. Just hope we do not get too badly fucked over by the EPL.

Yeah there was something in them last week, true nom🦊, and agreed on gk issue but I was thinking back to 77 78 maclintocks time when we had a go at manc Liverpool and manu plus forest away that season and got beat in all 4 though i and other die hards at school wouldn’t believe we’d go down , tbf we are in the mix this time but cynically i was thinking manc will still gub us ere last week. Hand on heart during the games i support and encourage that’ll never change,i only talk like this on here or with mates , as typed i hope I’m wrong of course and we beat the drop 👍

moore might be championship level but still better than daka.
 
Allegedly in talks to sign Max Aarons from Bournemouth. Looked a decent attacking right back at Norwich…not seen much of him since he joined Bournemouth

What talented kids ? Our academy 21’s are dogshite and only Alves and Nelson are likely to progress to anywhere near the level required.
