If the old (top flight) First Division was included it’d be 9. The mighty Cobblers from Northampton played in Div One in the mid sixties ( 65/66 I think)

They certainly did. Drew both games against us and I saw them both.

Correct. Another one season in the top tier club. We beat them in the FA Cup that season but the following season they beat us at Filbert Street in the 3rd Round. Malcolm Musgrove was their left winger and he later became our Assistant Manager.
