As a private company surely it’s up to them who they choose to allow in through their gates.
Ive read this plenty of times on here when referring to Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, anti-vaccine folk.
I see quite a few change their tune when their wokeness is challenged 😊

Sorry, can't find anything where it says they banned people because of belonging to an ethnic group or their surname.
 
to my mind the distinction is clear.

social media bans (cancellations) are based on an individuals actions on their platform. there is no blanket ban.

pontins ban is based purely on a name / ethnicity, not on their actions at their sites - which is illegal. if pontins allow the gypos onsite, they break their rules, and pontins subsequently ban those specific people then that's fine.

having said that, i can't believe anyone has sympathy for the gypos. they chose to live outside of structured society, but constantly claim the protections from it. :rolleyes:

Hear what you say Adumass but you can’t have it both ways. Bans are subjective. The law is an ass. People on here have called for blanket bans of anyone who refuses the covid vaccine from entering shops. Commercial travel etc etc

That’s ok as long as some daft woke twat doesn’t decide that there is some colour or ethnicity grounds as to why they can’t be banned.
These folk saying it’s wrong are the same folk who lose their shit over a plastic potato or a fucking book that rhymes written before I was born or think statues need to be pulled down.
I’d love em to tell us how much their life has improved since the statues have gone.
I bet the lives of the Pontins workers would have improved no end if they stopped the gypsys from booking.
 
If the gyppos have made up their mind to spend their jollies at Pontins then a simple name change to Smith or Jones or Windsor or summat should get them in.

If folk with those surnames are causing trouble then reduce the risk and ban them. Simple.
Walmart are being criticised for being racist.
Their make up department selling concealer the lighter shades are fine but when you start getting into the darker shades they’ve got security tags on to stop them getting stolen.
Obviously their records show that the darker ones are getting stolen but woke folk are screaming it’s racist.

Don Partridge used to busk up and down Castle Street,Hinckley, in his later years before he died in 2010.Big base drum strapped on his back,drum sticks fixed on his elbows, harmonica under his chin,and with tambourine,cymbals and guitar. He was very good and would sing "Rosie" or "Blue Eyes" on request!
