Northern Ireland

The biggest set of psychopaths in the UK have been woken up and they don’t fuck about when it comes to perceived disloyalty.

Boris will do well to keep his knee caps in tact from here on in.

Seems like an unwinnable battle. Whichever side of the fence people are on, you appease one side, you rattle the hardliners on the other. Mo Mowlam did a brilliant job in getting both sides to talk.
That is probably as good as it can get.

They sold us all out Sixthswan, it is just that most of the UK have not realised it yet.

Specific to Northern Ireland, Mrs AFC is born and bred Belfast, but her parents got them out in the mid '60s, fortunately.

Due to the separation, family connections are not that strong, but on the very odd occasions we see them the murderous sectarian hatred from otherwise ordinary people still shocks me to the core.

They didn't sell me out. I could see through the corrupt and deceitful sociopaths from early on. They sold you out.

I'd be pissed off if I was a loyalist from Northern Ireland. Sold out by the British government, so that they could feather their own nests.

Unfortunately rather a lot of people still believe that we have left the EU when in fact we are still deeply embedded.

The Northern Irish situation is just the most obvious manifestation of this, the sell out is saying that we have left when we haven't, I know it, you know it but a lot of people don't.

No, the situation is specifically because we left the EU and erected a border in the Irish Sea. Of our choosing.

You can continue to argue we have not left until you are blue in the face but the customs charges I now have to pay were not there before and they are now.

This was always the problem - if anyone considering voting for Johnson & his party in December 2019 had taken a few minutes to look at his character, the litany of lies & numerous missteps in ANY of his previous roles, they might just have realised they were going to be sold out once he had won.

The strange thing is, the current polls suggest that if an election took place tomorrow, he would still win. Which suggests that some still think he's the right person, or that they're buying his 'blame anything or everyone else for not letting us have our way' schtick, or they're in the 'Bless him - he's trying his best' brigade.

In a choice between pissing off those from the Shankill or those in the ERG, I'd have come down on the side of upsetting Steve Baker et al, everytime.

I mean what physical violence could he, Francios and Rees-Mogg exert in comparison to the UDA, UFF, UDF and RHC?

Watching the truth dawn on the Political Leadership of the Unionists & the self-denial of their complicity in it has been something to behold.

Morning SF,

The border was 'of our choosing' only because it was mandated by the EU and implemented by EU shills May and Johnson masquerading as the British government.

As I have said before, we are now in a ridiculous 'half in/half out' fudge where people like you and I have to pay duties and our spineless government continues to pay and follow their instructions.

I thought they were pissed off because the "other side" weren't prosecuted for breaking the Covid regulations at a funeral

That's the reason given by some sources.

But tensions were already heightened due to feelings of betrayal, by the British government.

Despite the 'peace' sectarian feelings still run high, any perceived favouritism, real or imaginary, will kick things off.

Doesn't take much, Brexit issues that has little effect on most and selective policing being the current issues.

Yeah. I doubt it will work as a tactic.
Violence usually does work in Northern Ireland, see the surrender to the IRA Good Friday Agreement for details.

It was the end of violence that worked. Can't remember anyone petrol bombing the Good Friday Agreement talks?

Johnson is on video in 2018 saying no British PM would ever agree to a border in the irish sea. For that lie alone he should be shot at dawn

Funeral of a UVF chief in January was attended by over a 100 and 3 terror bosses faced possible prosecution.
John ‘Bunter’ Graham, Harry Stockman and Jackie Anderson.
If they were prosecuted for breaking COVID rules I can’t find anything.
It of course has nothing to do with that, just criminal gangs flexing their muscles again.

I think we need to focus on the bigger picture here . The peace in North Ireland may be threatened but remember it helped Johnson become PM.
