Wandered across to Poole Quay this evening, one of our regular pubs. Walked up to the bar, barman offers his hand which I shake, order drinks for Mrs AFC and myself. Old boy at the bar, who we speak to on occasion, who is a bit past his best, looking to get a drink so I buy him a scotch. Totally normal, wonderful.
Went outside asked to share a big table with two other blokes, fine they said, a couple of drinks and plenty of chat between the 4 of us.
Of to find some food, one place was not that busy and we know their food is good so went to go in. Girl at the door, 'you must wear a mask', thanked her and told her we would go elsewear, no wonder the place was half empty. Bike night so very busy, everywhere else that is.
Wandered through the town to another bar/restaurant, walked up to the bar, girl in a mask but super otherwise, ordered wine, chatted normally , lovely. Ordered some food, very decent and the waiter who served, a youngish lad, unmasked though we were outside was excellent.
Chatted to the girl as she made Mrs AFC an expresso Martini, which she enjoyed while I finished the wine, totally normal and absolutely smashing.
