Perez

Said it before when we signed him I thought we’d turned a corner being able to sign another teams leading goal scorer the prior season.

Seems I was wrong.
My mate next to me said at the time, he's gash. He has family in the North East, several are regulars at St. James' Park, all said the same, fails to deliver, one good game in 10... I thought at the time it was a bit of sour grapes but seems not. Shocking return on a fee that size.

Yeah helping the team to two top six finishes and a fa cup win is a shocking return. People tend to forget when he was on the right side it enabled Ricardo to play his best football because of his movement this allowed Ricardo to do his business.

FFS Das give it a rest

I'm just saying he was a part of the squad that achieved these things and when he was playing he did a job for the team. Doesn't matter how much he costs.
What job is that? What does he bring to the team as he just seems to amble around and the game passes him by .

Daz has used that phrase “ he does a job” for a couple of players now.
I’ve worked it out what it must mean now. It’s means the player is on the pitch, nothing more.

Daz is BR and I claim my £5.00

He’ll be talking about over achieving next !

When you are managed by a coach then he will always bring the argument of 'can I improve this lad?' because as I have pointed out earlier, no player comes in a box ready finished, and we as a medium sized club need to buy potential.
Of course it is not an exact science and can go wrong. His work with Ian was good, that with Gray not so.
Perez does not seem to have a level to improve to and his role will seem to be as a fringe player but, as observed , he is not being regarded as even that at the moment. I reckon a decent offer would see him gone.

Think you’ve given way too much credit to brendan regarding ian.
At this present time I’d put having no fans in stadia as the biggest influence on kelechi’s upturn in form last season.
