Which centre did you get him from? I'm looking for a companion for my dog, but don't want another pup. Loads have folk said a rescue dog is the way to go.

After an appropriate amount of time we plan to do so. I like to think that we gave Winston the happiest two years of his life, and he gave so much back to us in return. There is definitely a hole that needs to be filled.

The only info we have on him is he was privately adopted from Romania about 6 months ago but didn’t get on with new owners other dog so ended up in Animals In Need In Wellingborough. He’s a biggish dog and strong as an ox, but not as big as some of the photos I’ve seen on the web of Mioritics. He’s best described as a 3/4 scale Mioritic which is plenty big enough.
Super friendly with humans but doesn’t like other dogs. He’s a splendid dog.
I’ve got a feeling that the pack NFP encountered in the Romanian mountains may have been Shepherd dogs just protecting their sheep - maybe Nige fancied a bit of ’sheep worrying’ and got more than he bargained for😀
