Pitchfork!

Even with a new identity, someone, somewhere will realise who he is before too long & justice will be done. It only takes one person to twig, say summat online & Pitchforks cover will be blown.

The other big problem I have is that we taxpayers, will now be paying probably 10 times what it cost to keep him in prison. Already stretched police resources will now be used to protect this bastard. But as said we now live in a different world where everyone’s movements are noticed, tracked, and within minutes information can literally be shared worldwide. IMO they’ll be at least one police officer who might ‘inadvertently’ leak his identity. Lets hope so

Some of the sentencing seems odd to me though.
When Ian Huntley was sentenced for the 2002 Soham murders he got 40years minimum.
Huntley killed the 2 ten year old girls, Pitchfork killed 14 and 15 year old girls, yet had a 30 year sentence reduced to 28 on appeal.
What is the difference in these crimes that warranted there being ultimately 12 years between the sentences?
Pitchfork raped them too.

The 13 knots would have been too good for that evil bastard.

And the parole board that didn't oppose his release should resign no pension rights, nothing, they are a disgrace.

If they are that confident that he is not a problem, then they shouldn't have any issues if he is reintroduced where they live should they.

There was an attempt to block the release of Pitchfork. The reasoning for refusal is here. If you read it in full, then you may be even more angry about his release.

These five things alone:

(a) The consistently expressed view of the professional witnesses was that the Respondent had the capacity to manipulate and deceive professionals with whom he worked.
(b) A security report of 3 November 2020 relating to an allegation made by another prisoner that an incident had taken place involving the Respondent.
(c) The Respondent’s request from his probation officer for a smart phone.
(d) A verbal exchange between the Respondent and a female shop assistant which took place in a shop while the Respondent was on temporary release.
(e) The absence in the Decision of any consideration as to whether or not the Respondent showed appropriate and genuine remorse.

As well as the previous convictions and Pitchfork's admittance that he has been a sexual offender since before the age of criminal responsibility. Also raped a 16 year old with a screwdriver to her throat. Would have raped another 16 year old, but was disturbed by a passer-by.
