Is it really Melton Mowbray pork pie and Colston Bassett stilton.
Sounded lovely. Thought I might give it a try this Xmas.
Any suggestions?

Yuck!!!!!! Horrible muck.Surely George , a nice dish of jellied eels followed by pie mash and liquor more your style???
I have to disagree. Although I'm not sure where "up here" is for you.Unpopular opinion I'm sure but prefer the Pork Pies up here with the pink meat in the middle rather than the grey Melton Mowbray ones.
York.I have to disagree. Although I'm not sure where "up here" is for you.
I had one when I was in Whitby in the summer. Made by Bothams (supposedly famous?) and it was bland as hell. Short crust pastry, no jelly and the meat texture was horrible.
As for their sausage rolls I'd rather have a Greggs.
Heathen! Pork is grey, ham is pink.Unpopular opinion I'm sure but prefer the Pork Pies up here with the pink meat in the middle rather than the grey Melton Mowbray ones.
