They are, clocked them last night.A true delicacy. Are they back to their original colossal size now? Last time I was there they'd lost about a third of their filling
BoooooooooooI'm a 'ham & tomato' man meself.
Seem to remember they did a decent chicken curry as wellBack at the end of the 60s, I did a work placement in the council building in town hall square. We came and went through a rear entrance in Bowling Green St.
The pub of choice was almost opposite the entrance, the Durham Ox.
There was a rear room and you got served through a hatch from the main bar area.
Friday lunch was always the cheese and onion cob, fresh and crusty and very simple, much like the picture above. Pint of draught Bass on the side.
Been gone a while now.
Looks like a blue boar cob to me alsoBlue Boar?
it might well be Leicester but I’m with the naysayers, you can keep that delicacy.
Not sure about the salt and pepper, but yes to Red Leicester.Point of order - it should be Red Leicester and probably needs a sprinkle of salt and pepper

Less than a decade ago, Crusty 'Bobs cobs' in the Richard the third pub were £1 each with very generous fillings that would keep you going all day.Oyaadate - drooling as I type. Very early 80's auntie Pam in the Manny on Knighton Fields Road had those babies set up behind the bar. Washed down with a pint of Mild or a couple of bottles of Manns Brown Ale.
