Prostate cancer - it's a man thing

Nice piece with Sir Chris Hoy on BBC breakfast, also Bob Willis day at the England cricket last week was brilliant.

The lady with lung cancer on with Sir Chris this morning was also a joy to listen to.
👍👍

Piece in the Grauniad today about how important it is to exercise. Seems to be as effective as almost any drug they may give you.

Final begging bowl bump before this Saturday's 'March For Men'.

Bless you all x

How did you get on KP?
Trust all was well followed by some well earned hydration.
👍🍺
Great experience Bittfox. Check out my match report on the ‘Hello boys’ thread in the footy forum. Thanks for asking 👍

I had a water infection and ended up passing more blood than urine, spent 3 days in the General, which scared the life out of me. everyone in my ward had life changing symptoms. next day I sat waiting in my wheel chair (they wont let you walk) for my scan next to a guy diagnosed with cancer in both Kidneys, his story and symptoms matched mine exactly, they then took me for a camera scan up my penis, this showed tumours in my bladder, so booked in for a biopsy. Now my research shows the body creates a tumour (sheath) to prevent cancer spreading and if the tumour is pierced it can actually cause it to spread, I really did not want a Biopsy for that reason but my family pushed me to have it, I also did not want a blood transfusion because I do not want vaccinated blood in me. (we can argue about that some other time, I have a power of attorney in place for this reason ) Anyway before my planned date, I opted for 13 day cleanse, its called the ultimate cleanse, mainly lemon Juice and maple syrup with parasite tablets. This cleanse claims to rid the body of disease because the body eats away its poisons and tumours when its being starved. Anyway thankfully my Biopsy revealed no trace of Tumours but slight mucus which the surgeon removed. I was meant to go back in July for a check up but its now been put back to September. I am not saying this is a cure or the answer to every ones condition but Bowel/Prostate cancer is now effecting men in there 50s and younger. Why? my Dad never suffered with it, is it our diet or lifestyle or whatever their spraying us with? Cancer is big business and I do not accept that its natural, It does not matter how much money you raise I do not think they want a cure to much money made on treatment. Not going to argue its just my belief.

Looking for a good place for this.

I had my PSA test this week and it came up OK.

At the same time they did a full MOT; thyroid, prostate, liver and cholesterol.

High cholesterol but all good otherwise.

Italian healthcare believe in screening and for that I am grateful.

Just the regular colonoscopy visits for polyps and diverticulitis to cope with.

What they consider high cholesterol years ago was average, dont worry about it, your brain is made from fats that is why we have dementia and memory disorders going through the roof with these clowns lowering peoples cholesterol. my wife is 7.5 stone but they wanted to put her on statins no way.

Cholesterol has nothing to do with a persons weight.

Listen to the experts in the hospital not us idiots on a chat page is probably the best advice.

I trust my doctor and have a very good relationship with her. I am able to see her at a days notice too.

It Italy you get given your results for blood tests so I can see my own readings.

Same as the UK for seeing results of blood tests.
Same for me with seeing my GP but that unfortunately doesn’t apply to many in this country.

Ay up Gents!
This was a thread about prostate cancer and making people aware.
Please Let's not get into a ruck over whether or not we should have a vaccine.

2 years on since remission, latest psa 0.28
Very happy, still no testosterone but starting to feel stronger.
62 on Saturday, Stoke at home, what a cracking birthday fixture
👍😂

Had my PSA test this week and oncology appointment is next week, I’m dreading it despite having been given the all clear last time.

I'm on 4 monthly psa tests now, every time I have one I am continually refreshing the surgery app for the results
I've decided it's all about staying positive, the last 8 test results have been really good.
I'll admit that it is on your mind once you have the test but you've just gotta be positive.
Crack on!
👍👍

My results are back for everything but PSA.
They have never been shown before, only find out when I see the oncology consultant.

I haven’t posted for sometime but as another who has been diagnosed, if you haven’t, get yourself self checked. I will be having a radical prostatectomy including having my lymph nodes removed in a couple of weeks. Caught it early as I was peeing more than normal and apart from that felt fine and still do. KPBW’s original post has certainly helped me to stay positive.

Really pleased that you caught it early!
I've had radiotherapy so can't comment on the process or recovery, that's a job for KP.
All I know is that mindset is the winner here, stay positive, trust the process.
Please let us know how you get on.
👍
