Rodgers has class

I was never a great fan of Rodgers before he arrived here but I have to admire the way he deals with his PR duties. In his post-match interviews he never makes excuses when we lose, always defends or applauds his players, is unfailingly respectful of the opposition and is modest and diffident when we win.

Contrast with the likes of Guardiola, Mourinho. etc. etc.

Couldn't agree more. He is a breath of fresh air compared to the surly likes of Guardiola and Klopp. I am sure the owners are proud of the way he conducts himself as that fits the ethos of the club perfectly. Let's hope he and we get the rewards from this season that the behaviour (and play !) deserves !

Couldn't agree more. I was not bowled over two years ago without any real reason but he is a special talent who was a perfect fit for our circumstances, being more coach than manager. And look how the wheels fell off at Celtic after his move.
The comment about his mature conduct is apt, he bigs up a player every week in the media and is obviously excellent at man management.
I really believe he has found his niche here and is not interested in any 'big six' advances.

Statistically, of our managers who have had more than a handful of games - he is the best we've had...

All in the top-flight as well.

Regardless of what happens still been a very good season.
A question: How many years will it be until we regard a season that merely flatters to deceive as 'not a very good season', as opposed to one where we actually achieve something tangible – ie top 4, winning a cup?

I’d like to think that will never happen.

?

Did you understand the Q, Daggers?

BLUE ARMY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes indeed. I’d like to think we’ll always remain grounded and remember our roots despite how much success we may or may not have over the next few years. Humility is something many Man City fans seem to have forgotten.

I suppose it all depends as a fan what you feel is a successful season

After decades of indifferent stuff, avoiding being in a relegation scrap is a successful season for me.
Any cock ups regarding missing out on CL is a great season without being able to stick the cherry 🍒 on the cake 🍰

I always thought success was the O'Neill years in the top ten and 2 League Cups I thought we cannot go much higher than this ........but
