Rodgers holding us back

Is Rodgers holding us back with his negativity?

Constantly his first thought isnt not to win but its not to lose.

I honestly think he doesn't believe how good the players can be and is holding them back with his negativity.

Liverpool away in the cup he decided to hang on when 3-1 up with 30 minutes to go.

Man City away game over after 20 minutes.

Yesterday, goal a goal up in 1st minute of 2nd half and then sits back for 40+ minutes and take Barnes and Lookman off.

He clearly doesn't trust em to win by going forward when we all know they can.

Instead, he asks them to defend when we know his teams is weak defensively.

I don't buy the injuries either.

We didnt have a make shift defence out yesterday containing players playing out of position.
We had 2 centre backs and 2 full backs.

It was when we went to 5 at the back when we surrendered the game

The players must be sick of the negativity.

Rodgers should take a leaf out of Claudia's book when he came in.
He observed for a few weeks and realised they were half decent and let em play.

I believe yesterday's front 3 of Barnes, Daka, Lookman with Maddison, Youri and KDH behind can hurt anyone and should be trusted to do so.

Rodgers is a fraud. I'm desperate to love him. I should do. He won us the Cup.
His negativity, defensive obsession makes it extremely difficult to do so.

100% agree well said LF

His undying belief that Kasper is on par with Allison/Ederson/Mendy is one of his biggest mistakes.
its the easiest thing to improve on, but he hasn't the bollocks. Hes not strong as a decision making so he is not a natural leader, which is why he doesn't win when he should.
Everyones fooled by Kasper great one handed saves on the goal line, hes never off the fucking goal line a goalkeeper should command his area not spend the whole game waiting to show his last minute reflexes.

I also believe Kasper is 2nd to none.

Shot stopping there is no one better.
His save late on from Trossard yesterday saved us from defeat.
It was on a par with his save from Mount in the cup final.

Since kasper started out goalkeeping has evolved with Edersen at Man City and his footwork.

He lacks that and should play to his strengths.

can't fault his goal line saves, but as l said, what else does he offer ?

Their goal should have been his, a dominant goalkeeper would never allow a forward to beat him with a header in the 6 yard box.

Spot on.

I'm sorry, Lestuh, but you have to buy the injuries in defence. Fofana, Evans and Castagne would have been in yesterday. The good thing is the strength in depth with Soyuncu, Dan and Luke (I will ignore the pair Southampton kindly let us have). Never mind Riccardo, who was a magnificent player before all his injuries and is still on our books. I don't like Rodgers substitutions either, he should have kept Lookman on, but it is not all his fault.

Thing is we ain’t gonna sack Rodgers. Not with his wages as high as they are. I do feel he’s putting himself about a bit for another job because he knows this.

Man U is coming up. Also maybe Arsenal if Arteta again doesn’t get them into Europe this season. Would he land one of these two roles? He would be in contention for sure.

His agent will be doing a load of work in the background.

His "reached the pinnacle" comments gave me the impression he thinks he cant take us forward further.....it gives the impression hes paving a way out...

Yes Ive just read his comments, and I still think he could/should have been more careful in his choice of words...just my opinion like....
He's from the OSC they have a way with words that confuses every bucker listening
