Rodgers

I blame him more and more each day.

To think about where we were as a club and what what we had.

And now look at us ...

Every day heartaches grow a little stronger
I can't stand this pain much longer
I walk in shadows searching for light
Cold and alone, no comfort in sight
Hoping and praying for someone to care
Always moving and goin' nowhere

That's what becomes of the broken-hearted!!!

Celtic fans are tapped to a scary level.
Score was 4-1 at the time but should have been about 8 & lennon on co commentary said the line “ this game might be gone but you never know, let’s see”
Jesus wept.
They really have no idea of their level.

I love this from the BBC. Sums it up

The Celtic fans off to our right, who were so full of noise and passion before the game, are standing in stunned silence.
They have watched their team being taken apart by a Borussia Dortmund who have been utterly relentless.
The Celtic players are unable to catch a breath out there. They're 5-1 down and that's with Dortmund squandering further chances and Kasper Schmeichel making some good saves.

Cmon Dortmund

Lennon again.
Rodgers will obviously get most of the blame but the players have to take some aswell. These players are the ones that have been wowing people in Scotland.
Wowing😂😂😂😂😂

I loved Lenny when he was with us but he needs to go and see some people in white coats pronto.
They’ve been beating most teams this season as the general opposition is around bottom league 1. Pretty much every away game their fans fill the ground so it’s like a home game. Must have been like being hit by a hurricane tonight in front of the Yellow Wall

There are massive levels of delusion about Celtic. They’re so used to destroying park teams yet they seem to have no idea that they might have to just try and stay in the game at this level. You would have thought an “elite” coach would be able to see this.

Dortmund could have had 8 or 9 in the first half.

7 or 8 years ago I did some work with a chap who was a season ticket holder at Parkhead. He said Celtic needed the money from the Champions League but we’re nowhere near good enough to compete.

Seems the same is still true even though they’ve now qualified for the league stage.

Great article by Tom English on the BBC website, basically blaming Rodger’s for all of it.
It really does and he also points out that all the big defeats in Europe have been under Rodgers as this is his second 7-1 loss and he has also lost 5-0,6-0 and 7-0. Plus they have only won away from home twice in Europe and never in 14 attempts in Germany. Abysmal pretty much covers it.

Only manager in history to concede 7 goals on two separate occasions in the CL.
Remember they won their first game 5-1 so look how much of a disparity there is between the best and worst sides in the CL.
When will he say 'obviously the squad needs strengthening".

'Rodgers' naive Celtic fall into familiar European trap' - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cg56eg0gv8lo

Says looking back he wouldn't have changed the approach to the game + started slowly (no ... really) then concludes with 'we'll learn from it' ... Not 'I'll learn from it' because he wouldn't change anything would he!

the telling paragraph to sum up bodgers career.

"It's just a continuation of a theme involving a manager who has been singularly unable to achieve even the modest goal of making his team resilient in the face of superior opposition. Too often they go down in flames."
