Bit of a shameless plug, but I have wanted to do this for months. I've created a Leicester City newsletter on Substack. This was probably the worst time to start one given the lack of football over the next month. In terms of transfer news, with cash rumoured to be thin on the ground I'm hoping that we revive our interest in 48-year-old Nicky Maynard once more so I have something to write about.
In all seriousness, it’s essentially a newsletter discussing all things involving Leicester City. I will aim to produce an article per week, with a variety of different content - features, opinion and sometimes even insight. I’ll also incorporate humour to hopefully make it fun and enjoyable to read. Whether it's remembering former players (for good or bad reasons), anniversaries or key events in our history, I'll be sure to have it covered. Also very happy to hear any requests for topics they want discussed.
Only an email address is required to subscribe for free, or you can chuck £4 a month to be a paid subscriber if you're comfortable with doing so, something I would be incredibly grateful for. The eventual aim is to build a decent sized dedicated readership and perhaps one day, I'll be able to make this a full-time thing. Definitely easier said than done however!
My latest piece involves looking back at some unforgettable names who were heavily linked with Leicester, but for one reason or another, never signed. Would hugely appreciate all who subscribe, and if you do enjoy it then please give it a share.
