The Royal Mail

mickyhoss

The music was thud like.
Three separate roofers have had their envelopes ripped open the contents stolen. In all three cases, the RM delivered an empty envelope with some sort of lame apology and an address if you wish to claim compo.

Is it obvious from the envelope what's in it? If yes, it might be advisable to switch to a totally neutral packaging.

Was a good pub that was.

Seriously my first issue went missing thanks to Micky got a replacement, ever grateful.

Scroats if they are being tampered with, it is actually a criminal offence.

84Interfering with the mail: general.

(1)A person commits an offence if, without reasonable excuse, he—

(a)intentionally delays or opens a postal packet in the course of its transmission by post, or

(b)intentionally opens a mail-bag.

(2)Subsections (2) to (5) of section 83 apply to subsection (1) above as they apply to subsection (1) of that section.

(3)A person commits an offence if, intending to act to a person’s detriment and without reasonable excuse, he opens a postal packet which he knows or reasonably suspects has been incorrectly delivered to him.

(4)Subsections (2) and (3) of section 83 (so far as they relate to the opening of postal packets) apply to subsection (3) above as they apply to subsection (1) of that section.

(5)A person who commits an offence under subsection (1) or (3) shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale or to imprisonments.

You set the ball rolling by writing to head postmaster, if it gets through. They have to investigate. So there.

I think one of the recipients of an empty envelope with the top ripped off will complain. His package had 3 zines in it

I've been selling face masks on ebay. Roughly 1% don't arrive although it has got better since Christmas. I had 20 that I posted on the same day in December not arrive. I think the whole sack must have been binned / nicked.

Usually use Hermes (not brilliant but ok for me) but EBay prompted me to use Royal Mail 1st class, I did and the feckers lost or nicked my parcel, telling me that I’m only eligible to get my postage back and not the contents of the parcel…
