The so called big 6

mickyhoss

The music was thud like.
The majority of pundits still use our tremendous results against the Premier League elite as an afterthought. They can't stand us upsetting the apple cart, I mean, that cunt Tyler was praying for Chelsea to score

Just watched Sky and now listening to Talkshite the feckin drivel they spout is unbelievable
Tyler was so feckin desperate for Chelsea to score is was pathetic, time he
was binned

Anyway Fuck Em all, they need to get used to us being there cuz we aint going away!!
We're Leicester City We're top of the League "

TalkSPORT this morning discussing Luke shaw and his possible England inclusion, list 5 of 6 players in the left back position that could rival including Saka (I do like him), maitland-niles etc. Didn’t mention the best English left and right back that we have.

Certainly James Justin showed last night that he’s miles ahead of the two Chelsea full backs ... and Maitland-Niles can’t make the Arsenal team.

Back end of last year Adrian Durham was spouting that Chelsea had the two best full backs in world football. Yes, world football.

Both Castange and James are better left backs than Chilwell, and they're right backs.

Personally I can't get irritated by the Twitterati and pundits not talking up our players, I frankly much prefer them not to.

Tartan. Re the best fullbacks in the world. Please tell me you're winding me up. 😀

And I agree with you... Let the whole world underestimate us.

Never bothered me either, I don't want any other team/pundit/arsehole to like us. I hated to 'Big LCFC Love-in of 2016' it was sickening. What sickens me to the pit of my stomach is when knobhead commentators are clearly pulling for the other team. Cliche Tyler spouts script written bilge and should hang up his microphone and sod off.

It’s all click bait to keep their millions of plastic fans happy. I’m gobsmacked that Sky still have Martin ‘and it’s live’ Tyler as a commentator. It’s embarrassing. Best bit last night was at least we didn’t have to listen to some scallie co commentator. I like Hinchcliffe. Bring back Bill Leslie. I like him.
As for who plays for England? Who cares. Let fatty Shaw and that Chilwell fight it out. If Southgate is that taken in, which he probably is then fuck em

I watched the first half with the sound down, then flicked it up with a minute or so to go. Couldn't believe my ears with what Tyler was saying as the players walked off for half time. He was describing a totally different game to the one I watched, making out Evans had negotiated the VAR change from penalty to free kick.

At least Andy Hinchcliffe who was never a big time Charlie had the wherewithall to acknowledge how well we'd played.

Couldn't understand why the media thought the penalty call was tight - Evans was a good yard outside the area and that was obvious in real time.

In our games against the "big 6" first half of the season. Won 4, Drawn 1, Lost 1. Not too bad, but it suits us perfectly if they keep banging on about them and writing us off.

agreed.
the VAR offside for their goal looked much much closer than the penalty call, yet they barely uttered a word about that one. weird.

The game was won by then though. I'm sure if the lineslady(?) had not flagged the lines would have been drawn differently. A little bit annoying as I had 2-1 at 9/1.

Regarding the penalty decision, the way i saw it is we were very fortunate. Yes pulisic’s kicked foot was a foot or so out of the area but at the exact time of contact his other foot looked on the penalty area line, So surely a pen, no?

As the foul clearly took place outside the area its not even debatable.
Regarding the incessant drivel spouted about a big 6 by the media en masse it is discrimination pure and simple.

Tell you what the breakaway European league the "big 6" have been discussing would be a dire watch if recent matches between these teams is anything to go by!

The "Big Six" has a spare space, because Liverpuddle and Man Ure merged recently.

We can take our rightful place.

Who first coined the phrase big 6 and when?
For a long time it was the top 2 of Arsenal and Man Yoo. Then Chelsea joined the mix and it became a top three and Liverpool were often in and around the European places and as there are 4 teams that qualified for this competition they were known as the big 4.

Man City then did the same as Chelsea and bought their way in. Spurs to their credit joined to make it a big 6 as they qualified regularly for Europe and latterly the Champions League.

I can’t ever see them referring to the big 7 it doesn’t sound right especially as one of this 7 are likely to miss out on Europe each season.

There's the G7. Why not the P7? With the annual jeopardy around which one will miss out on Europe. Got legs, IMHO...

No because the foul was committed.outside the area it's where the foul occurs. Not where any part of his body is
