There we have it lads…….

Rodgers is now continually spouting about the club overachieving
What message is that to the players, seems a good reason to justify
some of his decisions and tactics over the last few months.
He is one of the highest paid managers in the league, he has one of the
best training grounds in the country and has a very good young squad
He is nearer the bottom six than the top six Brendan get on with the job 😁

Several years ago the owners stated they wanted European football on a regular basis
They backed this with funds including paying a managers one of the best salaries in the keague
There was no mention of overchieving
Rogers has took it upon himself to say we are now over achieving
One of the ways to be become a bigger club is to be successful in Europe , Rodgers
has managed to steer the club into the Europa Conference League,
He is attempting to say that finishing mid table is a good achievement , I think
he and the present owners might not be on the same page😁

The problem this season is simply injuries. Not just the amount but the length of them. We’ve had multiple players out for weeks and months. Not just a niggle. As we know the defence is the most affected. With even just a couple out I’d suggest we’d have been in a far better position. We’ve also played between 6-10 more than anyone outside the BCC’s and West Ham. Not making excuses but it started in August before the season even began. Fou Fou out for months, Evans out for 8 weeks, JJ still out for another 5 months, Castagne out for 4 weeks. Ricky ?? We’ve never got off the starting line. As someone said the other day. Get to 40 points and just get everyone fit for next season.

Footballs about winning or losing, if you put out negativity, negativity is what you get. You start accepting defeat !

I'll say it, its time to go Rodgers, asap for me.

That attitude is a losers attitude. My mam always used the phrase "there's no such word as can't". Its true, but Rodgers as basically, to everyone around the club, including the fans, that "we can't"...

edited to add - he's saying its because he hasn't been given enough money and hes done the best he can with the meagre amount hes been given. Sounds like excuses to me. Losing to Spurs and Liverpool like that is not about money its about the team being organised wrong. A non league team with no money shouldn't lose like he did with these two. Hes a bottle job, out of his depth, I have an hunch that someone as had a word with him about this !

That last bit says it all about not progressing further forward on the current budget. Does this mean that Top's management team have drawn a line under future spending. Has he been refused further investment until we sell? I know there is FFP, but other teams seem to have scouted around it.
I think we need to clear the decks to help in moving forward.

My expectation is 10th.
Above us the horrible 6, Villa, Wolves and West Ham.
Get some injured players back and win both cups.

This talk of winning the FA Cup, that’s been mentioned on a number of threads, we’ve won it once since 1884. Once in 137 years.

Yes we need to prioritise it this season but the usual BCC’s will not want us to win it again and take any slice of glory away from their cabal. And that’s if we get past Forest.

This Euro Conference League competition on the other hand is definitely one we should go all out to win. There are some tricky teams in it with European pedigree but we have a chance, if we are focussed and want to win it we can do.

That focus has to come from Rodgers down to the whole squad and support team. I’m certain the focus and desire will be there from Top and the other Directors.

What he says is that it is virtually impossible to break the financially rigged cartel we have.
He always knew this and nothing has changed except that we broke the top six monopoly twice.
The reason everyone outside the big boys loved 2016 was it was the first time the title had not been bought.
Nobody in Leicester or without expects the club to permanently take a place up there but the aim has to be, given our modest resources, to be taken seriously by them.
I would argue that this has already been achieved. BR simply reminds us that this is the limit of our expectations. It's a good place to be, poking our richer opponents with a different business model of Academy kids and promising incomers.
And there is no need to shout 'come and get me' as he is named during any big six crisis anyway.
What papers like this do is interpret for us what they want us to hear. What they want is a comfortable life where the little people get hammered by those more 'deserving' who treat them (us) as points fodder in a game bigger than we are.
Like the economy in general because what would happen if more got that idea?...

we've won the league and the cup plus did a good job in the CL. So, its not true, you do it once, you can do it again. He can fuck off, hes a bottle job.

What pisses me off is that he never bigs us up infact almost the opposite, and you wonder if this negativity rubs off onto the mindset of the players.

Of course it does. Take any environment, genuine positivity and encouragement breeds additional motivation and effort.

Some managers need and want money to try to gain success. Whilst we do so spend a certain amount of money on players we’ll never have the budget of any of the top 6 teams. Other teams will also have times when they spend money trying to grab some success, Villa for example.

We have our way of working and it does work for us. It’s caught up with us due to the injuries we have had all season, and I understand this must be frustrating for Rodgers, but I believe with a full strength team and squad it’s the best we’ve ever had and we have enough to continue to mix it with the big 6.

If he wants to concede defeat then Rodgers you may as well go.
