Value for money...bang for buck

The best free-transfer signing in world football. Every time the media have a debate on the best they always bring in superstars who are refusing to sign a new contract and move to a bigger club for a massive signing on fee and huge wages. Albrighton was released by Villa, he wasn't wanted and we picked him up.
it must really sting every Villa fan, when watching a Leicester game and seeing the plaudits for Marc's amazing performances

I think what really annoys me most about these transfers is that if a player leaves a ‘big’ club the fee is substantially more than if that player left a ‘smaller’ club. Liverpool got £140m for Courtinho. Would we have got that if he’d played for us. Same as Hazard at Chelsea. The only one we got a ‘fair’price for was Maguire. That was daylight robbery what we received. A great piece of business

At least a footballer contributes his talents to a club. Just look at the business world where Directors take big money for nothing but being a name

I see the rags were saying we were
after Erikson but we're put off by his wages £300 grand a week FFS
I can't believe it for kicking a ball about
For 90 mins can get you 12 million a year summat wrong somewhere

It isn't right - but I would say we got our own back with Chilly & Drinks for example. If Chilwell IS worth 50 odd mill (which he ain't) then JJ is already worth 80 - 90. Remind me how much we got for Drinkwater...it still makes me smile. Talk about the opposite of value for money!

...and if we get anything above "free transfer" for Nach then that will be robbery too.

In fact even on a free we will be robbing some team blind.

...and just how good would Eriksson have to be to get into our value for money charts if he really is on £300K a week??
