They certainly were a decent watch, with Cambiasso on the pitch - and there was a lot of inherent potential in Mahrez and Vardy and Drinkwater etcI would expect that in monetary terms we can only at best do like for like deals. So it wouldn't be easy to dramatically improve the team without busting the financial regulations again.
I doubt that we can have any more defecit without having penalties thrown at us, so is there any point in spunking money on what increasingly looks like a lost cause ?
At least when we go down this time we won't have to watch a decent team being ripped apart !!!
We will need to use the parachute payment wisely and deal with any EFL penalty thrown at us.
Looks like a long road back, but the sooner this disastrous season is over the better.
I don't think there was much optimism at the start of the season, none of the excitement that you usually get with promotion.
A fragile and weak team being ruthlessly exposed game after game is no fun.
The 2014/15 ( great escape ) were a decent watch. You never felt we were out of it with that team.
This lot are just depressing and woefully inadequate.
Macateer was loan to the MackemsSeems odd in this scenario that we sold Cannon, who could be useful in the Championship, and yet have apparently turned down an £8m bid for Macateer, which would represent pure PRS profit, as he is an academy player. I think both are championship quality only. We do have other options at wide midfield/winger, but we have absolutely fook all options in attack.
Bizarre.
BBC say it was a bid around 8 mill.Macateer was loan to the Mackems
my only conclusion is: Cannon is a striker, mcateer plays on the right. we lost Fatawu for the season so if we sold mcateer we'd have nobody there (he doesn't seem to rate Bueno out wide), but we're overflowing with good striker options (sarcasm).Seems odd in this scenario that we sold Cannon, who could be useful in the Championship, and yet have apparently turned down an £8m bid for Macateer, which would represent pure PRS profit, as he is an academy player. Pretty sure it was a loan offer, unless we turned down a sale and they came back with a loan.BBC say it was a bid around 8 mill.
I assume we've rejected it as Fatawu is out for the season.
i understand, but didn't he say something like "i wouldn't have come here if there wasn't a transfer kitty". so we all got our hopes up, and then ...I would expect that in monetary terms we can only at best do like for like deals. Said it before but it is not for us to tell Top to sell the club. Leicester owes more to the Srivaddhanaprabha family than anyone. Top has been very poorly advised and placed his faith in persons who should have been nowhere near the positions that they found themselves in.We don’t deserve to stay in the Premier League. It’s blatantly obvious that we needed to strengthen and the Club has done nothing.
I don’t remember a time when I’ve been more disillusioned. I can just hear now the torrent of crap we’ll hear in the next few days about needing to get behind the Team. Why the hell should we?
They have give us no reason for optimism . In fact, I actually don’t care now if we go down.
And I think it’s time for Top to sell-up. We need new ownership with new ideas and a ruthless clear out of the so-called leadership that has landed us in this mess.
Have you you seen our next couple of months fixtures. We ain’t down yet , we could survive, we can still win enough games to get 17th, we could buy some players tonight who turn it all around we could em em … nah it ain’t working , sorry just been reading a book about positivity, it’s in the recycling bin now where half our players belong![]()
Just looked at fixtures and shuddered at the nightmare scenario of getting relegated in the game away at F*rest.Have you you seen our next couple of months fixtures.
We won't get our next point until May, if we're lucky...
As they qualify for CLJust looked at fixtures and shuddered at the nightmare scenario of getting relegated in the game away at F*rest.
Though there're only two games after that, so we'll probably be down before then anyway.
Thread for you to start Wes , NAME THE DATE WE WILL BE RELEGATED? It’s all yours mate go for it .Have you you seen our next couple of months fixtures.

Should be yep FIFER . Just thinking of 1978 at forest feb march time Tuesday game them top us bottom and that’s how it ended But we sang our hearts out and at least showed them for what they are as fans , proud to be a supporter then and as a fan now tbh, anyone who gets a ticket for that game make sure you do your part please. It’s what we were known for but sadly that’s not the way at many at games now.Just looked at fixtures and shuddered at the nightmare scenario of getting relegated in the game away at F*rest.

Top is responsible for the running of this club
He is now the largest shareholder I think
He employs Rudkin whose transfer failings are legendary
Top needs to make the change if he doesn’t then I think the supporters will make it very clear in a few weeks
what needs to happen![]()
Wish I could share your optimism ( wrong choice of word I know) in thinking the fans are ready to revolt. Such a large portion imo that act as if it doesn’t bother them. Plenty round me @ home games who spout the phrases “well, there just too good for us aren’t they” “ that was a great goal by there lad wasn’t it” “well we tried our best didn’t we”It'll kick off at the next home game against Arsenal.
Pretty much a nailed on defeat and with the waving of the white flag regarding the transfer window then it could get rather vitriolic.
Just think the fans are getting ready to explode.
