We are preparing for the Championship

I hope there's not too much damage done at the protest. But there's going to be some steaming mad people venting 😡 😡 😡 😡 on the day. I got one don't blame them. Might be there in fact.

Seems odd in this scenario that we sold Cannon, who could be useful in the Championship, and yet have apparently turned down an £8m bid for Macateer, which would represent pure PRS profit, as he is an academy player. I think both are championship quality only. We do have other options at wide midfield/winger, but we have absolutely fook all options in attack.

Bizarre.

I would expect that in monetary terms we can only at best do like for like deals. So it wouldn't be easy to dramatically improve the team without busting the financial regulations again.
I doubt that we can have any more defecit without having penalties thrown at us, so is there any point in spunking money on what increasingly looks like a lost cause ?
At least when we go down this time we won't have to watch a decent team being ripped apart !!!
We will need to use the parachute payment wisely and deal with any EFL penalty thrown at us.
Looks like a long road back, but the sooner this disastrous season is over the better.
I don't think there was much optimism at the start of the season, none of the excitement that you usually get with promotion.
A fragile and weak team being ruthlessly exposed game after game is no fun.
The 2014/15 ( great escape ) were a decent watch. You never felt we were out of it with that team.
This lot are just depressing and woefully inadequate.

They certainly were a decent watch, with Cambiasso on the pitch - and there was a lot of inherent potential in Mahrez and Vardy and Drinkwater etc

Macateer was loan to the Mackems

my only conclusion is: Cannon is a striker, mcateer plays on the right. we lost Fatawu for the season so if we sold mcateer we'd have nobody there (he doesn't seem to rate Bueno out wide), but we're overflowing with good striker options (sarcasm).

BBC say it was a bid around 8 mill.
I assume we've rejected it as Fatawu is out for the season.
Pretty sure it was a loan offer, unless we turned down a sale and they came back with a loan.

Fuck knows though. The club's transfers are fruit loop recently.

One blessing though, we didn't look at Casadei and think "£13million that's a bargain"

We ain’t down yet , we could survive, we can still win enough games to get 17th, we could buy some players tonight who turn it all around we could em em … nah it ain’t working , sorry just been reading a book about positivity, it’s in the recycling bin now where half our players belong🚮🗑️

i understand, but didn't he say something like "i wouldn't have come here if there wasn't a transfer kitty". so we all got our hopes up, and then ...

We don’t deserve to stay in the Premier League. It’s blatantly obvious that we needed to strengthen and the Club has done nothing.

I don’t remember a time when I’ve been more disillusioned. I can just hear now the torrent of crap we’ll hear in the next few days about needing to get behind the Team. Why the hell should we?

They have give us no reason for optimism . In fact, I actually don’t care now if we go down.

And I think it’s time for Top to sell-up. We need new ownership with new ideas and a ruthless clear out of the so-called leadership that has landed us in this mess.

Said it before but it is not for us to tell Top to sell the club. Leicester owes more to the Srivaddhanaprabha family than anyone. Top has been very poorly advised and placed his faith in persons who should have been nowhere near the positions that they found themselves in.
And who would you want? Someone who would come in and asset strip the club, sell the assets like the stadium and training ground (yes I know! But it is a long term vision and we are fortunate to have the facilities we have). We have been there before and it ain’t pretty. For all his faults Top has invested dead money in the club, and secured a future.
Sure we deserve to go down, and that was likely since before the season. There will be a clear out at the end of the season and we can start again.

The problem is, if Top doesn't clear out the senior management, then I have little confidence that the rebuild will be effective or speedy.

We have to pay the likes of Mavididi and Skipp through lengthy contracts, at good wages, and they aren't Premier League players. Is another Championship club going to buy them? Are Rudkin and Whelan who signed off those purchases going to be ruthless in finding a solution?

Have you you seen our next couple of months fixtures.

We won't get our next point until May, if we're lucky...

Just looked at fixtures and shuddered at the nightmare scenario of getting relegated in the game away at F*rest.

Though there're only two games after that, so we'll probably be down before then anyway.

Forest will be trying for Europe so if we kick lumps out of them it might ruin their "European adventure"

"Preparing" for championship..

arrangement, construction, education, establishment, formation, groundwork, measure, plan, preparedness, qualification, rehearsal, study, training.

I don't Top or Rudkin are capable of any of the above.
That's why we're gonna get relegated
(TWICE) On the bounce.
VENT !!!

Should be yep FIFER . Just thinking of 1978 at forest feb march time Tuesday game them top us bottom and that’s how it ended But we sang our hearts out and at least showed them for what they are as fans , proud to be a supporter then and as a fan now tbh, anyone who gets a ticket for that game make sure you do your part please. It’s what we were known for but sadly that’s not the way at many at games now.😟🦊

Top is responsible for the running of this club
He is now the largest shareholder I think
He employs Rudkin whose transfer failings are legendary
Top needs to make the change if he doesn’t then I think the supporters will make it very clear in a few weeks
what needs to happen 😊

It'll kick off at the next home game against Arsenal.
Pretty much a nailed on defeat and with the waving of the white flag regarding the transfer window then it could get rather vitriolic.

Just think the fans are getting ready to explode.

Transfer Deadline Day and Top is at home playing Polo. His heart really isn't in it anymore.

Nevermind though guys, he's due to dish out doughnuts soon ain't he?

Wish I could share your optimism ( wrong choice of word I know) in thinking the fans are ready to revolt. Such a large portion imo that act as if it doesn’t bother them. Plenty round me @ home games who spout the phrases “well, there just too good for us aren’t they” “ that was a great goal by there lad wasn’t it” “well we tried our best didn’t we”
& that’s in SK1.
An Everton fan I know said he saw a video online of one of our fans f-ing & blinding at our own fans at the end of the game Saturday because so many of them were applauding the team. The lack of hostility to a ridiculous long stint of shit on & off the pitch is a joke.
