Freedom of movement of workers for me . As long as proof provided people can support themselves without being a financial burden on the state they are entering. You know like the EU rules have been for the last 47 years ?
 
Who is FOM good for ? Certainly for employers because there is a larger pool for recruitment. From my perspective I have only seen the negatives.
The attitude of large employer's in particular have deteriorated for the employees over a number of years imo.
They don't care about you, and you are easily replaceable if you don't like things.
Since the early noughties they have bestowed completely unsocial working patterns, that are detrimental to family life. Don't like it ?....then fuck off.
They abolished our pensions for a totally inferior one. Don't like it ?....then fuck off.
General T and C's in your contract changed for the company's benefit. Don't like it ?.....then fuck off.
At the end of day, you are nothing or at best only small value to the employer. With an endless supply of workers they can treat you more a less as they like.
Without being able to take recruitment for granted, I am certain that things would come back to the employee rather than the employer. With laws regarding union action being tightened over the years, it is difficult nowadays to oppose oppressiveness.
