Who scored in your 1st game?

Ally Brown in a 3-1 win over Swindon 1970.
Our other two were own goals, can't remember who by. The only other time I can remember two own goals in our favour was Chris Nicholl, Villa at home in a 2-2 draw.

Bobby Roberts (for sure, a piledriver) and, I think, David Nish
2-2 at home to Everton, March 1967. Alex Young scored for Everton, they were a very good side in the 60s.

I believe I went to earlier matches but no recollection and sadly now nobody to ask.
First one I definitely remember was on a frozen pitch just after Xmas 65 aged 7. Thrashed Fulham 5-0

Sinclair 2
Gibson
Roberts
Stringy

However I’m pretty convinced I went to the Man Utd game the previous month where they tanked us 5-0 at FS. Best Charlton Connelly and Herd 2. I remember them being applauded off
I remember the Boxing day game v Fulham in the snow, and would have sworn that Doog scored but there it is. I was also at the Manyoo game, which was one of the first times we were on Match of the Day; I think they were in white. We actually played OK but David Herd was unstoppable. I think my first home game was in 1964 shortly after Bobby Roberts signed but cannot remember which one. I know my first away game was the 1965 Cup match v Villa when Doog and String scored.

Jon Sammels in 1-2 defeat to Wolves 27/12/71.
To this day I can see my Dad booing every time Dougan touched the ball for them.

March 1967...City 2 - Everton 2, Bobby Roberts and Jackie Sinclair, like Soho, going through the terraced house and then out into the Popular Side was sheer magic, as I have said before, we must have shared times there for a few years.

You’re quite right. They did play in white. In the interview at the end Matt Gillies said he was disappointed as we’d had 34 yes 34 corners but not scored from one of them.
Nothing has changed in nearly 60 years!!
