Youri Tielemans

Roofer
He's only 23 years old. What a player he is, it all seems to have clicked in to place now. He's worked out the Premier League and is now strolling around with a smoothness and calmness I've only seen in very few players at Leicester.

Pre match, he is going round talking to all the players like a captain. During the game he is like a conductor, he directs all the players. Great player with leaders attributes.

Glad someone has posted this. We took a chance on him. A teenage wunderkind who hadn't yet found his stride at 21, things hadn't gone that well at Monaco, and it seemed quite easy for us to get him on loan back in January 19.

Now we see he is a complete player. And he seems to have a great attitude, mature for his age, and a team man.

I like to dream that, 20 years on, people might be talking of Ndidi, Tielemans and Maddison in the same way as Kendall, Ball and Harvey.

And the bonus last night is he got to 19 games without another booking so no ban vs Everton.

Another star down the San Carlo.
Part of a large very close family by the looks of it.
Absolute gent saying Hello.

Unfortunately I don't see it happening whilst Son Of Peter, the long-standing incumbent, is in action but I'd give our man from the Republic the armband now. No disrespect to SOP but I have never understood the point of a having a goalie skipper. We need someone involved in the thick of it and Tielmanns is certainly that. Justin bigged him up in that recent interview as a major influence and clearly he's directing players all over the pitch. Isn't that what a captain is for?

PS (in the absence of an edit). It would also have the advantage of giving him more 'job satisfaction' and might help keep the inevitable sharks away for longer.

Sky had that stat last night that we had failed to score from the last 96 corners, the worst record in the league. Until last night you could have had a similar stat involving Wilf and row Z. I do not know what the stat is to show how brilliant Youri is, but you can see it with your own eyes. The goal v Newcastle was one only one other player I know could have scored, de Bruyne. Watch the training videos from Seagrave, he is enjoying hims3lf, he knows we took a punt on him, he wants to play for us.

We should not forget our roots. When Claudio got us to 38 points he told them they had nothing to lose and kick on. Champions league is now ours to lose, and with current squad we can have a real go at the title again.

Wild and Youri what a midfield two. I actually think they are better than Kante and Drinkwater in THAT season and that's saying something.

Is there not an edit little tick box thing at the bottom left hand corner of your message, KP?

He's enjoying his football .... At both Club and International level .....
He's not a Big time Charlie, either ......
Long may he perform well for Leicester City .....
Happy Days ......

Tielemans and Maddison and are growing into Senior Players. They are the leaders of the next generation when JV, KS and JE have gone which will come in the next 3-4 years.

Vardy has got about 8 months left in him at best I would say based on the last 5 games showing.

Tielelmans did everything right yday except score with that run he made. I think a bit like Paula Radcliffe he'll always look iffy style wise when running but he is 30-40% fitter now than at any point we've had him and it shows.

He, Maddison and a few others have got to build on the confidence they show when a goal up - when they go a goal behind.

Love him. He follows in a long tradition of Central Midfielder partnership I absolutely adore(d) at the City. From Lennon and Muzzy to N'golo and Drinkwater (at least for THAT season) and now Youri and Wilifred.
Love the way he now tries to get the ball forward pronto - he really loves having Maddison as an outlet for an extra forward pass option alongside Vardy, Barnes and Albrighton. And the way he can draw an opposition player to him, dink the ball away and suddenly find acres of space in the middle of the pitch is almost witchcraft

maybe. but there is an article on F365 today about how all the league top scorers seem to have stopped scoring in the last half dozen games or so.

calvert lewin, ferandes, vardy, salah, probably someone else i've forgotten....all raced to 8 or so goals, then have only got a couple more since then. so its not just vardy. might be a product of the fixture list this season.

The good thing is that we have other players who are scoring, and we know Vardy comes back after a blank streak to a scoring streak.

Sky had an interesting fact which supports a little more my concern - he had 7 'shots' against Saints and failed to score - thats the most attempts on goal without a goal since he came to the Premier League. Had Perez or Nacho missed the 2-3 chances he had again yday they'd have been howled at even if we'd gone on to win.

& vardy has more than earned The benefit of the doubt from supporters don’t you think? To put nacho in the same sentence as vardy is just pure & simply wrong.

Have you not heard Kasper while no fans have been there. Encouraging the team, telling them where to press. Great captains input at the moment. A keeper sees all the action in front of him.

The flip side to making Tielemans captain is don’t ruin him with the added responsibility. Let him play with his current freedom.

I'm a bit deaf Daz. Your hearing must be a lot better than mine. Of course he sees all the action in front of him but he's hardly in the thick of it is he? Therefore he's in less of a position to influence proceedings. His impact, such as it is, will further diminish once we get back to full grounds home or away.

Or look at it another way he is the player best suited to have an overview of the action.
Those in the thick of it can't a!ways see what's happening around them

Perfect player for captain in my mind, someone who has a great affinity for the club and someone who's vocal and not afraid to give some ear bashings
