A Hefty Points Deduction Awaits

According to the Merc if City do get promoted.
Need to sell a lot of players before 30th June to avoid this and that ain't gonna happen if they are involved in Euro Finals.
Absolute shambles.
Surely heads have got to roll?

The Merc are as usual just rehashing a load of old bollocks from a National Newspaper or Newspapers. Not saying that they won't need to sell or that heads shouldn't roll anyway but I saw the story and it is bollocks. They even quote that we would need to make a profit of over £20m on last season to avoid breaking the limit without fucking realising that the total losses for the 3 years combined up until the end of 2021/22 were about £145m and didn't question why no points deduction then (the answer of course being because they didn't take into account allowable deductions such as COVID losses, depreciation & expenditure on Women's, youth, community yadda... yadda... yadda)

And how many of our players are involved in the Euros? Faes? Hermansen? Can't be many more surely? Admittedly one of those is probably the biggest asset we have (and the one I would be most loathe to lose) and after only 2 seasons we might well be able to make a small profit on Faes but if we were that far off the limit that a "hefty points deduction awaits" he will not bring in enough to stave it off.

I can think of at least one?

We will have to sell/sacrifice KDH, im sure we could sell him before June 30th. I thought we only needed a £20m sell to stay onside of financial laws?.

Apparently yes.
And if City don't go up the EFL are lying in wait ready to impose their own points penalty.
So its a lose-lose whatever happens.

As I understand it selling KDH before 30 June is the ‘answer’, because he is a youth product it counts as profit. Of course everyone else knows we need to sell but still assume we could get 20-30 million.

Whichever way you look at this, the club is up sh1t street without a paddle for their canoe.
There is every possibility we will get promoted, lose points, lose our better players, yet not be able to sign any new players of any quality.
We should shame the FL and PL and lose every game until the end of the season to show what a joke all these football admins are, including JR.
The authorities are just looking after the Big Boys.
Even with KDH we are not prem class and we can only sign so many journeymen on loan.
When a club gets promoted to the Prem what are they supposed to do if they cannot bring (buy) their squad up to PL standards?
