I met him at the Walkers Stadium, I was introduced to him by Pete Jones after he spotted me in my wheelchair after he'd been on the pitch with Birchenall at HT at some game, can't remember who it was against. I talked to him for a good 10 minutes. Nice blokeReading the LCFC tribute it says latterly he had suffered from Dementia (as well as Parkinsons) and had been living in a care home.
He was only 74!
I'm convinced his illnesses were related to heading the ball.
