I'm gutted Smiles. I'm sure you've had this feeling for a few weeks too.

We’ve been chatting since he broke the news on FB a couple of months back (took him to what turned out to be his last game at Wembley back in May), it’s been more and more difficult to ‘chat sh!t’ when the sadly inevitable drew closer. A very courageous man, I’ve been both better for knowing & glad I did - RIP.

My thoughts are with you Mac, Vanles, Smiles, Christonabike and anyone else who reallly knew him.

I met him twice, he seemed to be a decent chap and I know Mac you had a close friendship. I’m sure he’ll be sorely missed.

Things you'd do with Badger

- tour Bosworth Field
- watch a hockey game
- watch Cov vs Preston North End in the pouring rain
- drive to Leicester in a car full of pissed up Cov fans for a game
- hunt for rare records
- have him explain that the English are not actually insane when you discover a forest of bath taps
- he'd drive to London to meet Guy Fox for Cov vs Palace and explain why Guy was in the wrong for supporting who he did
